RD Applicants for class of 2017

@centrellag13 were do you live?

Nothing came today here on Long Island.

Just got our acceptance letter here in MD! Add a scholarship and you have one very happy daughter.

I am sooooo worried now…anyone from Long Island hear?

how about VA?

Hey GCMom, We are from LI too. Our mail comes late…around 5:00 pm. I will let you know if my D hears anything today. You have to hear by tommorow. Funny I called the college today to make sure my Fin Aid info was all ok and the woman said “You will hear REALLY soon!” Haha…they must be getting alot of nervous phone calls.

@hallow91 Thanks…but I dont think my daughter got in. Our neighbor around the block got his acceptance. Weirdly she is stronger academically. Its such a disappointment I am truly sick over it. She was in tears. I told her we will focus on whats on the table…She was admitted to some good places…we are waiting for Fordhams financial award and She was offered amazing money at Siena College and admitted to Oneonta, Providence- still waiting on award and Geneseo for Spring admission. I am gonna plan some trips to admitted students days and get her mind off of this. What I dont understand is she is so strong academically she interviewed. Im in shock.

Do international students get decisions online? I surely hope so - mail usually takes over two weeks from the US to here :(

GCMom, definitely go see Oneonta…my D was accepted there. I loved it when we visited in the summer. A small very nice public. We visited SUNY New Paltz this past weekend for accepted students day and the visit was great. Give it another day. I will send you a message when I get home from work!

I received my notification of admittance today along with the Abraham Lincoln Scholarship. My family and I are elated!

I am from new jersey for whoever asked before!!!

I got the founders scholarship. My gardes were kind of average I wasn’t expecting anything. I got a 28 on the ACT and sent in a 3.7 GPA roughly!

Got the acceptance package today in Connecticut

GCMom, I would not give up hope yet. If your mail delivery is anything like mine, it just may be “stuck” somewhere.

In any case, sounds as if she has some great choices there.

Did I read correctly that you do not have your award from Providence yet? I think they can be all over the place. My daughter applied early action two years ago, and of all her awards, they were the one that left us with the biggest gap (it was a gaping chasm, actually), and the merit award was not as high as I had hoped for. Keep in mind that I am a single mom of modest means. Otoh, my nephew applied a few years prior to my daughter, and his aid was phenomenal. His dad is an executive of a major corporation. He ended up going to the state university because he felt his major was stronger there, and my sister and husband actually paid more for the state school than they would have at Providence. You just never know how the aid will fall.

Tell your daughter to keep her chin up.

GCMom, nothing in the mail at my house on Long Island. Lets see what tommorow brings.

has anyone from california receive any decision yet?

Thanks for your support! Im trying hard to take this in stride. I booked a visit to Geneseo…they offered her Spring admission and Id like to possibly learn about their Siena Bridge Program where she may be able go to Italy in the Fall. We will also go visit Oneonta and Siena. I have to think there is a plan and everything happens for a reason. Lets see what tomorrow brings I guess…Congrats to all accepted!!
