Just wondering.. where else are you applying? Is NYU your first choice of those?

Wellesley, Boston College, Smith, U Penn, Brown, :) (If lucky I'll get into Smith and Wellesley...I doubt I'll get into the other ones though.) My first two choices are Wellesley and NYU.

NYU (obviously) - it's my first and only choice.
Although my mother is persuading me to try applying to schools where I live:
UMD - College Park
Towson U
UVA
George Mason
Georgetown (as if I have a chance there)

and she also is suggesting, as well as some of my current professors, to apply to Syracuse - but I'm really hoping for NYU, but I won't hold my breath. ;)

rice, university of chicago, princeton, uf

my first choices are really chicago and rice, but depending on the aid from nyu...you never know. plus i like their economics department. its got pizazz

Barnard, Columbia, BU, Brandeis, Tufts, McGill, Wesleyan, Rutgers

NYU and Tufts are pretty much tied for my first choice right now.

1.) NYU!!
2.) Berkeley // Cornell
3.) Boston U
4.) UC Davis
5.) UC San Diego
6.) Hopkins (so low on the list..)
7.) UCLA
8.) Pepperdine
9.) lower UCs
10.) CalPoly

im just trying to get into some top school , besides NYU applied 2

cornell jhu bc tufts gtown duke brown colgate bates penn rochester
(and im not a typical genius student like most people on CC)...
these are all reaches for me so i intend to get into maybe 1 or 2 of those in the list at most...

I wish all of you luck but wow, a few of you definitely need some match and safety schools on your lists.

This is my daughters list in order of preference, nice mix of reach, match safeties:
Northwestern
Columbia
NYU
Penn State
American U
U of Miami
Syracuse
Ithaca
Marist

yeah i got into penn state alreayd- that was my safety

Daughters in there as well..did you get into U Park campus?

yep ... 10 characters

NYU
umich
American
Uwisc
GA Tech

Already in at UGA

Jesminder- Georgetown-me too, my first choice!!! i hope we both get in (my stats are WAYYY low for g-town applicants)

the rest- no rankings.
nyu
UCs- davis, berkeley, la, irvine, san diego
sf state- was accepted already, lol
columbia (PPPLLLEAASEEE let me in!!)
brandeis
usf

GTOWN IS MY FIRST TOO, yeah its just complete nonsense that im applying im gonna get rejected

i hvae a 1350 SAT and exactly top 10% of class

my sat score's 1440- but im in the top 14% of my class of approx. 700 people
it really makes me wonder as to why i applied at all

ANYWHOOOO... don't let this distract you guys
continue w/ the thread... if not NYU, then where to??

nyu is second choice
others include Emory/ BC/ penn state/ tufts / haverford
CORNELL!!!!!! damit i got deferred.........

speaking of grade degration, i am bearly top 25% of school rank with 1430
because A our school is notoriousely good with 3/harvard/3 prinction/3 yale/10 penn/4cornell plus other ivy like last year.
and B no weighted GPA i got people with acedemic assist classes higher ranked than me

Funny how many of your lists are so similiar! My son got into GWU ED... (I didn't see GW on any lists on this board), but his other choices were NYU (2nd choice), American, BU, Syracuse, UMD, Northeastern, Penn State... with Ithaca & Emerson distant lasts.... good luck to you all!

i think this question was on another post

but anyways
wellesley, smith, barnard, washington u. in st. louis, usc, tufts, university of chicago, brown, eugene lang, boston u, and NYU is my top.

and ED to columbia

swarthmore (ed), wellesley, BU, columbia, georgetown, cmu, umich, uiuc, barnard, umcp, nyu, duke, northwestern... in no specific order except the ED.
