okkkkk so i was rejected from Yale SCEA, but Brown is my new favorite school.
now i just have to finish the essays.

Hey guys! I applied to Dartmouth ED and was deferred, but Brown was one of my favorites the entire time. I'm never getting in (the kids they deferred ED from my school were INSANE--the salutatorian, for one) but I figure I might as well apply, woooooo.

Hey there, I'm also RD! (so excited to see an RD thread!) I visited last March and took a tour... man there were a LOT of kids there. Hard to tell because they were still on break. I'm planning to go back in sunny February :) and hopefully overnight with a buddy.
Academic interests primarily English/writing, maybe physics/astronomy. And religion.

I applied to EA to Tulane, SUNY New Paltz, UVM, and FSU and got into them. Still waiting on Binghamton EA and technically UF (find out in feb)

I spent two weeks at Brown for a summer course on the Civil Rights Movement...I LOVED IT! There is SOOO much fun stuff to do in Providence and the near by town of New Port is stellar and beautiful! As is the Brown campus of course!

My academic interests: History, English, International Relations, Poli Sci

I have also applied to Johns Hopkins, Lafayette, Union, Gettysburg, Richmond, and American University.

I applied to 12 schools... 2 ivies (harvard and cornell) besides brown. Other top schools: Williams, Johns Hopkins, Georgetown... I've gotten into 2 rolling, but those were safeties.

Interests: Math and music.

Oh yeah and I applied to PLME.

Applying to lots of schools... 12 to be exact. Already got into Arkansas (economic safety) and UMich. Really hoping I get into PLME... I would pay out the nose to be in that program. Hopefully my internship this semester and probable research next semester will at least get me considered.

deadline is approaching! anyone still have to submit their app?

I've only submitted one of my RD apps. I'm still tinkering with my essay... do you think it matters when we submit it as long as it's before Jan 1?

jarsilver: I remember reading a thread where it said Harvard adcoms feel more comfortable reading essays submitted earlier on in the game than later. (because they apparently read apps in order of completion)

but... at this stage in the game I don't think it matters significantly, haha. Better for your apps to be submitted several days later than to have a huge mistake cripple your chances, yeah?

I'm submitting mine on Christmas day just to be safe though :D

Applied nowhere EA/ED/etc
I'm too poor to visit, HAHA I live in CA and airfare burns
I'm applying as an English major (which pretty much kills my chances before anything else)
I've applied to 4 UCs (already admitted to one) and I'll be applying to Cornell, Columbia, Williams, Swarthmore, and WUSTL. If I get rejected/waitlisted to all 6 schools, April 1 is going to be a pretty glum day for me hahahah

anything else...........hmm.
I like post-it notes. :D

I got into UT - Austin's College of Natural Sciences, but that was my safety/back-up school. I didn't get into Rice...

Unfortunately, Rice is the only school I have visited. I wish I could go out and see more universities, but Rice is the only school in Texas that I wanted to go to. Every other school I'm applying to is too far for leisure travel, haha.

I am definitely doing pre-med!

I'm also applying to U Rochester, Brown, Stanford, Duke, and Vanderbilt.

Heh... I got rejected from Yale, but I'm liking Brown as a close second.

Also applying to Stanford, Princeton, Cornell, Occidental, Vanderbilt, Tulane, and Arkansas.

I've applied to UCB UCLA UCD UCSD and will apply to Boston U and a couple of other schools. I will also apply to Tufts EDII :)

I haven't visited, but I've seen and heard (through other people) that it was a great place.

I'm interested in pursuing International Relations over at Brown and if possible, double major with something else (undecided atm).

Brown is amazing. It's the one school on my list I'm 100% sure I'm never getting into, haha. They just don't like my high school.

Buuuut I got deferred from Dartmouth, waiting EA on Binghamton, and am applying to Amherst, Williams, Columbia, Cornell, Middlebury, Bowdoin, Northwestern, Bates, Kenyon, Oberlin, Wesleyan...and Brown of course!

Didn't apply anywhere EA...but am applying to Brown, Wesleyan, Brandeis, Tufts, Boston U, and UMass Amherst RD...not really sure if Brown or Wesleyan is my top choice right now because I love them both so much.
I've visited Brown quite a few times ('cause I live so close) but went on an official tour once, and it was amazing :)
Right now I'm thinking to major in biochemistry, but I'm not really sure...

just submitted my app. felt good, although there are so many things I felt like I could've said in my essays that I didn't.

I'm applying regular everywhere--I visited Brown in August--loooved it. I'm really interested in the art history/egyptology program. It's one of the few colleges in the country where you can major in egyptology. I'm also applying to Columbia, Skidmore, Vassar, UPenn, Tufts, Georgetown and TCNJ. Rutgers accepted, yay!

Is anyone applying to NYU as well as Brown?
I'm a theater dork so that would be my concentration at Brown, but I don't know much about their program.

did you apply anywhere EA? rolling? Nope -- don't hear from anyone for sure until March/April (although Wellesley sends me "likely," "possible," or "unlikely" in February.)
have you visited? what did you think? I took a summer course for two weeks and loved everything about it! It's probably not the prettiest campus I've been to (I'm in love with JHU's, and Princeton's is nice, too) but everything else makes it an amazing place to be. Thayer Street... Providence... fsdjfldsfjdf!!
academic interests? Cognitive neuroscience for sure!
what are other schools have you/are you applying to? My list, in approximate order of preference: Brown > JHU/MIT > Northwestern/Princeton/Wellesley > Case Western Reserve/RPI > University of Delaware

hiiii. i'm applying RD!
i got into UGA, GA Tech (got the acceptance today!) and UMich, all are rolling, i think.
i was at Summer@Brown and kinda fell in love with Brown <3
i dont want to declare a major but my interests are definitley in international relations and political science at the moment.
other schools that i'm applying to include davidson, boston college, and emory.
meh. looking at all the accepted ppl from ED, i'm so not getting in. but it's worth a shot :)

I SENT IN MY APP YESTERDAY OMGGG.

Now, three months of waiting, commence!
