Does anyone know when Stanford releases how many people applied RD (or have already released)?

In all probability, Stanford released the number of applicants and other statistics in the Fall of 2005; by that time, they would have all the applications read, all the matriculated freshmen ready to go, and all the time to do statistics. The earliest time I would give for the release of statistics would be June.

The normally cite the number released when offers of admissions are released. Or maybe it's after they get the acceptances back. But it's relatively early. They probably post another press release when the class is settled. A university PR department seldom overlooks a good occasion for a press release.

Virtually every other elite has reported the number of applications received for the Class of 2009. Stanford has not yet done so, and is usually late in making these reports.

The equivalent announcement was not made last year until March 30.

I don't know the exact number...but when I went to the Los Angeles Admit reception, Anne Marie Porras told us that Stanford finally broke 20,000 this year in application. They're never had more than 20,000 apps before...sorry, I dont know the exact number
