RD Application Thread

So nervous!!! So, I’m guessing chances are if one hasn’t gotten a admissions decisions (like me)… most likely you’re not gonna be dean’s scholar/honors college student/etc. ??

Looks like the early RD admissions are those with 4.0+ gpas and 2100+ SATs.

That’s what I’m thinking wewsy. It’s like they’re giving the Okays to the shoe-ins.
I don’t have either of those stats … :(

But we can’t assume right off the bat that the people who get later admissions won’t get a scholarship/honors. So hold tight guys  There’s still hope!

Accepted!
Honors, Marketing major, 20k Deans Scholarship :)

Stats:
2220 SAT
4.33 weighted GPA, 3.7 unweighted

I got the email on the 27th as well. It was worded in such a way that I thought I was rejected at first! I love the idea of co-op. Is anyone sure that they are going to attend? It makes me feel so much less stressed that I have a great option for college.

wow. my scores are not even close to that. no offense, but i figured they would reject most people with these stats because they would most likely consider neu as a safety. worried to the maxxx.

Right there with ya nikkipink! I’ve got pretty good stats other than my SAT I score (1800) which is what I’m really worried about.

But I’m hoping my ECs, essay, and recs will pull me through!

where can i find whether or not I got accepted?

https://www5.student-1.com/StudentApp/</a>
You can try the link if you want, but they e-mail you when they have made a decision.

Same with you nikkipink and 23simone23 …
What’s worse is that I applied to probably the most competitive program they have.
I feel like all they care about are the scores for the pharmacy program :frowning:
I have a friend who had high SATs and GPA, yet only one EC (maybe 2) and she got accepted.

Well, there goes my acceptance …

it must be the most competitive, cause i applied to the pharmacy one too.
i agree about the scores thing too.
guess i’ll be going to mcp …

Don’t give up! NU is getting more and more competitive. With 43,000 applications it is even more so this year not only in pharm but for everyone. It isn’t over till it’s over! All this last round means is that you are not the top 10% of applicants. I’m pretty sure that is who honors and Dean Scholars are. Good luck!

Wow, lol.
Are you my twin nikkipink? I applied to MCPHS too! No offense to the school, but I really don’t want to go there :expressionless: but I think I might just have to if I don’t get accepted to NEU.

Wow, congrats all those who are already accepted!

Keep in mind that Northeastern still has until April 1st to notify about acceptances. Starting to worry now won’t do any good, trust me. You could still be in for a long wait. lol

I’m pretty sure Rutgers did the same thing EA, accepted those with higher stats first. But I don’t think that’s the only thing they look at, even for pharmacy. So I wouldn’t lose hope. :)

GPA: 3.7 UW, 4.3 W
SAT: 2010 (Math - 610, CR - 680, Writing - 730)
ACT: 33

Was just accepted to the honors program  I hope to study political science and international relations!

^^ gaaahhh those are practically my stats!!! come on acceptance email!!!

Good luck, xnamelessx! :D

I read through most of the posts on this thread and saw a lot of people receiving scholarships and felt a little sad that I hadn’t received one. However, I went back to my NEU page with my acceptance letter and clicked the scholarship link on the bottom, and realized that I got the Dean’s Scholarship as well! I had opened the original email on my phone, so I hadn’t seen the link.

Thanks guys  You made my dad’s day!

so i haven’t gotten word on my admissions decision yet and i applied november 12…
is that a bad sign? are they going to be releasing decisions in a rolling sort of fashion? i’m extremely nervous and can’t bear to wait until march to hear…i hope it comes out earlier these early acceptances look promising

I think that they decided to admit a certain percentage of their applicants early, based on statistics and whatnot. I’m not sure, but I think that the rest will be released by April 1 sometime. I don’t think it’s a rolling admission process from here on out.

If you applied in early November, but you applied for regular decision, you still have until April 1 to find out if you were accepted or not.

I got accepted today!!! But no scholarship or honors. I’m kind of surprised to be honest. I was expecting at least a small scholarship.

GPA: 3.7
SAT: 2010
