Someone from Bryn Mawr financial office actually CALLED me just now saying that she needs some more details cause they are reviewing MY FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION. It means they actually LIKE me. So excited!
Do you guys think they like me haha?
Because if aid is need blind then
you won’t review it if you don’t like her application

i was actually wondering the same thing. my daughter heard the last of feb. that she had been flagged for bryn mawr college financial aid verification. i took it that this was good news for her.

I’m an international student (from the UK) applying R/D to Bryn Mawr, I’m having a ‘I’m not going to get accepted anywhere and may as well just curl up and cry’ few days :(

@kristikuca, I got an email as well concerning the dependent verification worksheet but it made it seem like it was entirely random. It said I was selected by the department of education :/. Was this the same case for your daughter?
I don’t want to get my hopes up :(.

@MattieR91 – did you apply to a range of schools, both here and in the UK? If so, then you probably don’t have a lot to worry about!! For now, the best thing you can do is not to obsess about the process. I know it’s more easily said than done, but it’s not going to speed up the process, and it is going to cause you stress! Getting some sleep and getting your work done is probably a better bet. I

@MattieR91, I find distracting myself helps. I’ve been religiously checking my mail and email. The end of the month is taking awhile but it will come :). Good luck to you!! I’m sure you’ll be fine.

hi guys! i’m also waiting for my bryn mawr decision - i got an e-mail this morning saying that they’re delighted to receive my applicatiom but i still need to send a few things for my financial aid. my dad took this as a good sign but i don’t know whether they sent this to everyone still missing their idoc or fafsa info… i’m an international US citizen so those things are a bit late on my application.

@fancynarwhal
I received the exact same email also several days ago, but i’m the opposite… an international applicant living in the states haha :)

how have you guys interpreted this? i don’t want to get my hopes up…

i sent them an e-mail yesterday to try to clarify the situation (i can only get the documents they need at the end of march) and have been waiting for their response.

2 weeks ago while I was in my Ap chem class, I got a big Red note from my counselor asked me to see him ASAP. I thought I was in trouble or something and hurry up went to see him. Whewww, when I was there He asked me if I still want to go to Bryn Mawr… since he just received an email from Bryn Mawr Adcom rep asking him to update my Mid year report…
Few days ago got same email with you guys about the financial aids thing… Wonder if that is a good sign ???

I am going to have 2 wks spring break from March 30 to April 14, hope their decision come out early so I can planing my trip to visit the school…

lucky, i think the decision will come sometimes between the 22nd and 27th… spring break is from the 18th to the 22nd for me…so i won’t be able to visit any colleges since they don’t release decision until after the 22nd :(

Good luck to all the BMC applicants. I don’t know if Bryn Mawr admissions still does this but my D (BMC ‘11) got a call from someone in admissions before she got anything in the mail. D answered the phone and the woman congratulated her on her acceptance–D thought it was a friend, and she kept saying’’“Who is this again?”
