I'm sorry to have started a new thread about this, as I'm sure this has been said before somewhere, but when can us RD CAS applicants expect a decision from Cornell? I'm thinking April 1, can anyone confirm or deny this?

as far as i know (or at least right around that date)!!! gl to all of us

There have been a bunch of posts on this, and I think the general consensus is that we'll know online on March 31st at 5 PM. They'll provide you with information on how to access your decision in an email sometime soon.

All Ivies have agreed to a common reply date of March 31 for RD.

Harvard posted the Ivy Notification date as **March 31st 5:00 p.m./b

It is no longer speculation, it is now confirmed.

It's a little bit more complicated than this, right? Because you can notify somebody before March 15th as well, as some of Cornell's colleges do. There's just the blackout that goes into effect, and then everybody learns by March 31st.

I'm pretty sure they are talking about endowed colleges. Rolling admissions can happen anytime before March 31st, which is what the contract colleges do.

I think Cornell is the only IVY to have any type of rolling admissions. (I could be wrong about that.)

Hotel does rolling and Human Ecology does not, so it's not an endowed/contract split.

And the Ivy League blackout is taken seriously by all colleges.

Other Ivies do likely letters, which is essentially the same thing.

Has anyone received or is anticipating a likely letter? If there is one, it should be out before the 15th, correct?

Not really; its just the state Contract College are exempt from the agreement. And, of course, Dartmouth sends out 'likelies'

Cornell and Columbia send out likelies too

I haven't heard of any Cornellians getting a likely this year, save for the athletes.

Do either Brown/Penn do likelies?

I know Cornell Engineering sends likelies. My sibling received one right around this time and shes a sophomore up there.
