What year are you?

Is your family able to pay 60-70k/ year at the expensive private schools you’d be applying to? You won’t receive any financial aid at your income bracket.

Class of 2018

I just wanted to see whether I had a chance at these big schools. I wouldn’t necessarily attend if I got in. @Jpgranier

Yes, you have a chance. 1510 and 4.0 give you a chance everywhere. But you also need to do well on essays, letters of rec, etc,

Based on your stats:

Princeton and Stanford are reaches. They’re reaches for everyone who isn’t well hooked. (15% chance or less)

JHU, Rice and Berkeley OOS are probably low reaches. (15-25% chance)

UT-Austin would be a safety for general admission, but not necessarily for your desired major – some are pretty competitive. (still, it’s an awesome safety…)
