<p>Asian male from a crazy-competitive high school in NY
- GPA: 3.69 UW, 3.85 W (imo my achilles heel..)
- Rank: School doesn't rank, but I'd guesstimate myself to be in the top 15% (perhaps even higher, but I don't wanna be too liberal haha)</p>

- AP Calc BC: 4 (AB subscore: 5) </p>

<p>12th grade APs in progress: Govt, Macroeconomics, Literature, Statistics, Spanish, Physics B</p>

- Student Gov't (4 years): served as Senator for 2 years, Exec. Board (public relations officer) 2 years.
- Mock Trial (4 years - Co-Captain in 12th): went farthest school has ever gone.
- Spanish National Honor Society: President.
- Site Based Representative (11th and 12th grade) - I meet with the principal and faculty monthly to discuss school events/issues.
- Fundraiser Forum secretary (11th and 12th grade) - organize dates of all school fundraisers.
- Anti-Bias Club, Exec Board (11th and 12th grade) - promote anti-bullying, etc.
- School newspaper writer (4 years)
- Play cello for a private orchestra at weddings and such.</p>

<p>Sports:
- Varsity tennis starter - D1, conference finals (farthest school's ever gone).
- JV tennis starter from 9th-10th grade (1st ranked doubles)</p>

<p>Research/Volunteering:
- Did stem cell research at a laboratory for 2 summers (500+ hrs) -- helped identify proteins that help in stem cell genetic reprogramming.
- 200+ hours of volunteering at a local hospital and library.</p>

<p>I’ll tell you all that anyone can tell you: you’re a very solid candidate. You should be proud of your accomplishments. That being said, there are no guarantees. I wish you luck and hope you get in!</p>

<p>P.S. I have never understood someone asking about their chances and offering to “chance back.” If you think about it, it’s just silly.</p>
