Isn't this the third time you posted a chances thread?

dude that is a LOT of ECs/awards... but do your awards really matter or are they just filler?

and your SAT is a bit low

You've posted this thread like 6 different times, so I guess I'm just going to have to answer you.

You already know that you're a smart person who is obviously very accomplished because you have a ton of ECs and awards to prove it. You should definitely be proud of all of that, but I think that you might need to get some level of focus in your presentation to Princeton. It seems a little bit excessive, to be honest. Your 1 hr/wk participation in Yearbook Committee, for example, is probably not going to add anything to your application and will probably not detract from it if you don't include it.

That being said, you have as good of chances as anybody. Princeton is near impossible...we all know this. You have plenty to make you competitive, so go on that. Otherwise, I don't know if anybody can tell somebody who is obviously competitive if they have chances of getting in.

Sorry if any of that is harsh. You're a smart guy and you have done a lot, so be proud of it. You don't need a bunch of people telling you that you will get into Princeton to get into Princeton, so just utilize all of your outstanding accomplishments as much as you can. Good luck, and I really hope you get in!

honestly, in terms of chances, does it really matter what a bunch of applicants think? the only opinion that really matters is the one of the admissions board...

reject --- do you have ANY leadership? all i see are members, members, members.

also, SAT is looow for princeton RD. plus, you are unhooked

sorry

I have been class president for the past 5 years in a row, i am captain of the tennis team, captain/senior member of the quiz team, floor manager at a local restaurant, senior member of the student council, and expert witness of our school's mock trial program. I am also the percusion section leader as well as the only drummer selected for Jazz Band and the pit band for the musical. I am also going to have the opportunity/responsibility of speaking with our Gov. Deval Patrick, about current issues where I live and in the entire state. I won the Kodak Young Leaders Award and was nominated at least 5 or 6 times for the national youth leadership conference on med, law, and bussiness. I think i have PLENTY of leadership but thanx for for input innocentstalker1.

didn't see this "class president four the past 5 years in a row"

otherwise, don't get defensive. did i hurt your little ego? sooooo sorry. what a humble applicant

I didn't mean to sound defensive man, nor do i mean to sound egotistical. Sorry if i came off that way. Its funny because i have always been one of the least egotistical people in my school. In reality, outside of the college application world, i really am pretty humble. I didn't mean to come off really abrasive. So, where are you applying or have you already got in somewhere? I am just soooooooooooo nervous about getting in, that's all. I already got deffered from Brown and I am really scared I won't get into one of the following:
Princeton
Penn
Williams
Amherst
Northwestern
Duke

Do you have any safety schools on your list? While you do have good stats, those are all schools that are difficult to get into. You need at least one or two schools where you have above a 50% chance of getting in...and I don't think any of those necessarily are qualified. I don't know much about some of them though, so...I don't know. But for what it's worth, just add one safety.

As cocky as it sounds, Williams is actually a safety for me (I HOPE). They have an unwritten deal of accepting kids from the county i live in since williams is in the same county. If you're in the top 5% of your class, you're basically in. it's a nice deal. Also, my dad went to williams so i got the legacy thing. But you're right - i don't have any TRUE safeties. hopefully i'll get into one of the schools i am applying to.

Seriously, no one on this board can accurately predict whether you will be accepted, deffered or rejected. Wouldn't you rather not stress over your application and go to another web site not related to college admissions?

Don't get me wrong - I live/breathe/die for the SATs and college admission in general, but as long as you're confident in your ability (which is all that is important), why put up with the stress of asking people if you will be admitted to Brown? I hope you are, but people are not going to say otherwise on this board.

Don't worry - I consider Williams and Cornell to be my safeties as well. (Although I might choose some less selective colleges just in case my safeties do not have sufficient vacancies to offer me a position this year.)

Like I said before, being from western (rather than eastern) Massachusetts is not a hook. It's probably more of a disadvantage because you live in Massachusetts.

i would apply to a REAL safety school
