RD Chance: Medill?

I'm pretty intimidated by Medill because it's so competitive and my stats are pretty mediocre by Northwestern standards. I think I've got the solid rec, the essays, and the journalism background, but i still feel that i'm sitting in an uncomfortable gray area for admissions. I'd really appreciate people's honest honest opinions.

Also, does anyone know where i can find specific stats of students admitted to Medill?

buuuuuummmmpppp?

50/50. depends on essays/recs. you're qualified, but so are a lot of other people. work on your essays and hope your recs are good.

your ECs are great, as are your gpa and scores. your courseload is alright too, but not as difficult as you make it out to be. you may think its the hardest at your school, but its not that difficult in comparison to the general population. about 30 people in my 400 person class are taking 5+ core aps. for example, i'm taking ap calc ab, ap physics c, ap english lit, ap american history, ap gov; all core classes. ive taken ap spanish lang and ap human geo as well, and i can tell you that they're bs and colleges realize this. but then again, my school is ridiculously competitive. that being said, i still think you have a great shot with your sat scores and ECs (your ECs are outstanding, they will probably be your hook and offset the courseload anyway so don't sweat it) good luck!

do you have any journalism honors or awards?
that might help a little
