Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Waiting to hear from Stanford, probably just wasn't as lucky
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: University of Michigan (accepted), Stanford (deferred to RD)

General Comments: The waiting game

BUMP

Stanford: since you got deferred I wouldn’t hold my breath, it’s my understanding that being deferred is basically a no :(

Penn: your scores are obviously very strong, as are your ECs. Ivies are a reach for everyone, but you definitely have a shot

Northwestern: I would say your chances are pretty good. Once again, its a reach for everyone, but you seem to be above Northwestern’s average

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1723764-chance-me-williams-bowdoin-tufts-middlebury-colgate-colby.html</a></p>

9% get deferred
85% are rejected
chance?

For sure at northwestern
Probably at penn
idk about stanford (its a crap shoot)

with a 36 and 2400 I’d think that you’d be at the top of the list of every college ^:)^

What did you do to study for the ACT and SAT (and for how long?) and when did you take it? (and any other tips would be helpful too) :slight_smile: Thanks!

I took classes and immediately took the test right after.
I studied for a few months for each one.

Took SAT in the fall and ACT in the spring.

Oh wow with your SAT scores and ECs, Northwestern is a shoo-in :). I think Penn could be a match, though a lot of people with perfect scores apply to Stanford- I’d say you have about a 70-80% chance. Good luck! Chance back? :slight_smile:
<a href=“Chance me for Vassar I'll chance back :) - Vassar College - College Confidential Forums”>Chance me for Vassar I'll chance back :) - Vassar College - College Confidential Forums;

matches for Northwestern / Penn

Good luck :slight_smile:

You’re a very accomplished applicant- there really isn’t much else you could’ve done to improve your application, save publishing a book or starting a company
.
Northwestern- match
Penn- high match/ match
Stanford- low reach. You certainly qualify, the rest comes down to your essays and a hefty chunk of luck. Being deferred is a good sign. Maybe show interest in the school to help your chances?

Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1724019-chances-for-wesleyan-colby-kenyon-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

@avix215
I chanced you correctly btw.
and i cannot create threads through my mobile and i have no access to comp. and laptops.

Sorry, to disrupt your thread.

np
you stand a likely chance at least at cornell, georgia tech, and carnegie mellon.
International is always the toughest but being younger may benefit you.
