I started the Mock Trial extracurricular program at my school, i’m the captain of the College Bowl team, I play (and earned varsity letters in) water polo, swimming and tennis, I’m a 2-year member of the National Honor Society, and I qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination. The optional letters I submitted were from the district Superintendent and his wife (a county commissioner), both of whom are parents of a princeton graduate.

Any questions/comments would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

you have a really good chance of getting in, but i would definitely try to schedule a visit or interview with admissions officers because bucknell really wants to get to know its applicants personally...

Your stats look impressive, but I have to support
one02many's advice to visit, interview, show interest.
I know about two VERY high stat kids ( one with 1560 M and V SAT, Pres of Class) who was waitlisted last year. Another 1480 V/M who was also waitlisted.
Don't take ANYTHING for granted.
Bucknell is a great school ( and goregous, too)
Have you visited ???????

I agree w/ the interest aspect... based on your stats you should be a lock, but they might think you were using Bucknell as a safety (and not planning on attending-which hurts their yield-which hurts their ranking) so if you were serious about going to Bucknell, you should take a visit/email admissions/do anything that shows some kind of interest... however, based on your high stats, I'd be surprised if Bucknell was at the top of your list, making any attempted implications of attending an issue of moral conflict if it didn't happen to be your top choice...

I just wanted to express my gratitute to everyone who has commented, I really appreciate it. I have expressed interest in the University and particularly in their Mathematics department, and I'll actually be competing in their annual Gold Exam math competition this March. Sorry about the irrelevant comment in regards to the optional letter being sent by parents of a Princeton grad, I posted the same thing on the Princeton board first. Bucknell is about an hour's drive away from my house, so attending would be very convenient.
