This is your senior year, your last year EVER in high school! [Enjoy the ride!](http://blogs.hopkins-interactive.com/blog/2011/09/don’t-forget-to-enjoy-the-ride/)

Hi!
Your extracurriculars seem to be great! And I’m not sure what your UW GPA is out of.
Could you tell us your general class ranking?
But without knowing that, I’d say your chances of getting in are okay. Your SAT’s are a bit lower than usual candidates’, but I’d say everything else makes up for that. So maybe a low reach school? Or even match!

Chance me?

Essay: Pretty unique and interesting. Not the usual template people follow for writing essays. I wrote with a touch of irony and humor about myself, but related it back to a goal I have in life.
Recs: Glowing

Thanks so much Good Luck to everyone!

OP was rejected from Vandy ED, which is substantially easier than Hopkins RD (statistically speaking). So, it’s a definite high reach. Make sure you revise those essays and look for any holes in your application that might have caused this. Your academic profile looks ok, save for the test scores. Definitely apply to other colleges and do all you can to stand out in the meantime (send update and interview if you can).

yay Jew! You should definitely join the Hillel if you get in =)
Anyway, your SAT score are a lil shaky… if possible try and take the ACT and send them straight to JHU if you do better cuz that’s definitely help out. Also, idk exactly how good you are at running, but I’d suggest e-mailing the XC coach since coaches can put in a good word for you that would tip you into acceptance if you were on the fence. Other than that, just keep working hard, and if you get any awards of note, send an e-mail to your admissions rep about it.

Good luck!
