Conducting research at top university, starting at the end of 10th grade, through this summer, and continuing through the school year as well. Neuroscience based, but very math/programming heavy, and definitely involves engineering and systems design.

Volunteering: Tutoring 40+ hours of math and science, possibly volunteering at a hospital

Summer's:
After 9th grade:
Attended CTY Summer Program at JHU, and took Accelerated High School Chemistry
Played in regional golf tournaments, placed in top 3 in a few tournaments.
After 10th grade:
Aforementioned Research
Continued playing in regional tournaments.

Awards:
3rd place Speaker Regional Debate Tournament
6th place Team Regional Debate Tournament
1st Place Skit, Speaking, 3rd Place declaration in Regional Spanish Competition

Recommendations:
Both teachers will be excellent, will also have one from my the head of the lab I do research at.

Other stuff:
I am graduating high school early, hence nothing going on in 11th grade. This is why I have to take US History and Gov, and two English classes this year. The reasons for graduating early are various, and both academic and social. Ex: Was prohibited from taking community college classes because of my age this year.

Also, I switched schools (and states) from 9th to 10th grade. This, and the graduating early, are why I don't have that many leadership positions. I also missed both science fairs at both schools.

Thanks!

Also: Should I send the SAT I and ACT, or just the ACT? Will it make a difference? Thanks again.

Looks solid  and I’m not really familiar with the ACT but I’m pretty sure a 35 is good. Good luck!

Send only ACT.

Yeah, only send the ACT.

Application looks good. Definitely in reach for Rice.

Good Luck!
