Amazing Recommendations from teachers, principal, and a judge. Good Essay. Intended major history/political science.

What do you think my chances are.

Thanks a lot

Your extracurriculars are amazing. The fact that you interned with a judge and a lawyer really shows your motivation and interest in political science, which is what GWU really looks for. Even though your SATs and GPA aren't breathtaking, they are not horrible either. It's not like you are applying to Harvard. Not that I am much of an authority on the matter, but I think you have a really good chance.

The SAT's are on the low side, but what would worry me more is your class rank. It appears you are below the 20th percentile, and almost at the 25th percentile. I think that would be a problem to GW.

Regarding your ec's: you mention length of involvement in only a couple of your ec's, and those were all the athletic participations. What is the extent of your committment to the non-athletic ec's? if the non-athletic ec's are 1-2 year committments, I'd say you have a problem. If it is sustained committment, your chances go up.

the scores, gpa, and rank leave some room to be desired...ultimately, since admissions are holistic, you have a decent shot if everything else in your application is brilliant.
