Right now I have As in all four of my courses...we're on the block schedule so I think those grades would make it onto my transcript in time.

I also have a great uncle who was a grad in the 50s and has always been an above average donor. dont think it matters much

I would say it's very unlikely. I was top 1% of class, similar U GPA, somewhat better W GPA, 1470 SAT, about equal to little better on ECs and was wait-listed.

I'm a new member in this discussion forum, and i notice one thing: when you guys list your SAT score, you usually put like this "1370 sats-710 verbal, 660 math, 660 writing".... Why 1370? If so then the writting score doesn't count huh?

This question is really important to me: i wonder if colleges will look mainly at our critical reading and math scores (writing is less important) or what?

I'm an international student and i don't score really well on critical reading nor writing. If i only count my math and critical reading scores, i'll be 1500 (800 + 700) but my writting score is only 630 :( --> i got 4 on the essay
so..... will a low writting score hurt my chance greatly?

The verbal and critcal reading are definitely the most important. The writing section is still so new a lot of colleges don't put much stock in it. As long as you don't total bomb it, I don't think it's a very big deal. 630 won't hurt you. 2130 is more than enough for a lot of places!

yeah u should if u plan to improve much... 2150 would give u about 120 points higher or so i think
i took second time and improved 10 points composite...
didnt make much of a difference for me

but yeah a 100+ improvement helps so go for it bro
