RD Chances

Hey,

I am a white male from NC who will submit my application for RD consideration as soon as I hear from my ED school. Tufts is tied with Columbia for my second choice school. I was wondering how I stack up with some of the other applicants, and what my chances are for success.

Here is stuff about me:

I go to a competitive public school with about 1700 students
Class Rank: 18/369, or top 5%

I am interested in studying Engineering at Tufts, and have visited.

As far as the application goes, I believe that my essays are relatively unique and personal. They articulate why I want to study Engineering within a Liberal Arts environment at Tufts, and talk about my passion for learning and Judaism.
My counselor is also the adviser for NHS, so she knows me on a very personal level and can attest to my leadership. Also, both teacher recs are strong, with one being particularly strong, I believe.

Do I stand a decent shot?

Thanks for any replies!

Most definitely. I'd be surprised if they turned you down.

Hey,

I forgot my ACT scores....sorry!
35 Cumulative:
36 Reading
36 Math
35 Writing
33 Science

Taking into account the Essay, which was a 10 out of 12, the combined score is a 33.

Thanks again!

Yeah, I don't see why not.

I should note that (if you don't already know), engineering undergrads at Tufts get a lot of money for research and projects; if that interest you, perhaps it will move Tufts up above Fu @ Columbia. ;-) Good luck! WHere did you apply ED?

I applied to Swarthmore College, and will be hearing back any day now.

Yep, religion is SO interesting on so many different levels. Actually thought about going into the priest hood believe it or not, lol. I don't know though, I'm still thinking maybe that's the route I should've taken. Psh, I put in work at my church though at least though.

You interested in Christian theology at all? Troelsch what, maybe? Don't know, just trying to build that bridge homie.

Stay real.
