breaks out into tears I'm an intl A-level applicant from HK....and my app nowhere approaches yours....nooooo my chances just decreased that much.

I skimmed this but don't feel like reading it all, but it seems like you've done a lot of stuff and have some pretty impressive stuff. You'll probably end up with good numbers, but what will make or break you for Columbia is whether they see a passion for something, a commitment / devotion to a particular activity, etc. rather than someone who did every possible EC. You'll also need a great essay and a great Why Columbia. The RD pool is really tough, but you'll have a shot at it.

Columbia2002 has no idea. ur Why Us essay is like 350 characters. u don't really have a chance to make it great

ROFLMAO! You really believe what you just wrote? It's probably the most important part of the application.

Hey qwerty175, just wondering, but what major do you want?

C2002 is almost right. However, the free-response essay is even more important. Combined, the two are a decisive part of the application, and you should START EARLY and storyboard SEVERAL DIFFERENT IDEAS for subject matter. Given a well-done job there, your profile looks pretty good to me.

but out of all honesty ... what beautiful magnificent ground-breaking thing can you say about ur reasons for applying to columbia with only 350 characters>??

r3volut1on, im thinking of psychology..
and btw, i already submitted my application and i think i did decent on my essays. PM me and i'll let you have a read.
