No one else from my school is applying.

Thanks everyone.

I think you have a good chance. Even though your class rank is pretty low, your AP and SAT score shows that your school must be tough.

bump.......................

what type of school do you go to? your gpa is pretty high to only be in the top 20%

its a small public school. approx 30th ranked public in NJ so not really phenomenal, but we usually send a few kids to top schools. for some reason, the class this year is extremely successful. For just the early round of apps we have:

3 going to princeton
2 going to columbia
1 going to cornell
1 accepted to MIT
1 going to NYU Stern
1 accepted to Georgetown

among others. This is in a class of only 115 students.

So i guess its not so much that my school is hard but my grade is extremely competitive.

also, we dont actually rank but im estimating with 20%. its probably more like 16 or 17 but i really have no idea. in a small calss one person can make a big percent difference

u have a great shot u have good grades, ecs and sat.

Yeah, you have a pretty good chance. Your grades, EC's, and test scores are good. All those are more important than class rank.

bump/////////////////////////////

bump what, the deadline is today, chill out.

ok well deadlines dont mean i dont want to know my chances. relax.

You should have applied to Emory Scholars Program.

whats that?

it's merit aid
