Well...your EC's are good and the fact that you submitted a design profile to Brown is impressive. I shows talent and initative, which is very important. Your class rank is extremely good but for Georgetown College the top 3% is their average class rank. Obviously your classes are competitive. The only thing that might hurt you are you SAT II scores but your regular SAT scores are very good (esp. verbal and writing). I think it could go either way. Are you applying early action or regular?

Thanks, lizz. I applied regular decision.

yo, one thing that u might wanna know though is that gtown isnt gonna consider ur 800 writin, they only look at the cr and math composite, so i guess standardized scores are a bit low, but still in range, ,and u got good stuff in other places. i say u got as good a shot as any of us

I'm a sophomore transfer applicant...I applied with very similar stats, and unfortunately as scads88 implied, those are pretty run of the mill for RD applicants. YOu have excellent grades, and your test scores are good but not stellar. Schoos of this caliber pick and choose kids to admit, and don't be surprised and hurt (like I was) when you see kids with similar or lesser qualifications being admitted. Don't get me wrong, you've got a great shot. Good luck.

Forgot to say, I was not admitted out of high school. That was the point of me saying I had similar stats. Good luck though.

Thanks for your feedback. Even my interviewer didn't see my 800W- Georgetown doesn't send the writing score at all. Canyonbrad, do you think being from New England might hurt my chances?

No, this won't hurt you but on the same token it won't help. These densel populated areas send lots of applications to schools like Georgetown, but your location will not have a great impact on your decision.
