you're fine...just concentrate in your app, apply early, and you're in....

good luck!
p.s. premed is NOT a major here at JHU!!

apply early?

^oh sorry, I meant Early Decision!
Hopkins Undergraduate Admissions :: FAQs :: Early Decision

I think its slightly easier to get in ED, but ONLY do it IF you feel that JHU is DEF. the place for you :)

Good Luck!

how would I do RD?

You apply by January 1 and check the Regular Decision box on the application.

You seem pretty solid. Community service seems to be a passion of yours? If this is true that's pretty good considering Hopkins students seem to be very active with service programs in and around Baltimore. Your science/math focus puts you in the majority of the pool of students who are gonna be applying to Hopkins, which is not necessarily bad, if you can find a way to shine through your essays (esp. in RD, these count for a lot) and if they can see through these and through your recommendations that you are an interesting person and someone they would want walking around campus everyday, not just someone who's gonna be holed up in the library. The admissions process is very holistic at Hopkins, so don't put too much emphasis on the numbers, rather, try to make you as a person special. (btw I think the Destination Imagination thing seems really interesting and could be something you would focus on.)
