I am evaluating Wash U, and currently plan to apply Regular Decision (tentative).
What do you think my chances are as an RD applicant?

see you in st louis! However, I always find it a bit weird to see students saying that their essays are “great”…how on earth do you know? Be careful if you do an interview to not come off as arrogant. I find the students at WUSTL are generally quite modest about their achievments.

CollegeAccept, good luck with your interview. My daughter interviewed at WashU back in July when we went for a visit. It was an easy interview. The student interviewing her seemed more interested in selling WashU to my daughter than hearing about daughter’s achievements. She had previously interviewed at Wesleyan where she talked about her interests. The two interviews were totally different. BTW, enjoy St. Louis. We loved the area surrounding WashU. Check out the shops & restaurants in University City.

Thanks ronib.
Yea, I am really excited to go to St. Louis, even more so for Wash U.

Just hope everything turns out okay. Could you by any chance chance me for WashU, and another school? I posted in on the Colleges - University of Chicago - “Chance for uchicago!?!?!?!?”
Thank you so much

My daughter was waitlisted as well. Accepted - Pitt Honors College, Muhlenberg, Emory & Oberlin. Rejected - Wesleyan and waitlisted at Rice. As you said, it’s random. Still awaiting Brown, Yale & Princeton. Good luck!
