<p>@741236985: That’s true, but I suggest a bit of prudence and caution. TENS OF THOUSANDS of applicants (for Duke ‘19, and for countless other institutions) will absolute inundate admissions’ computer systems of these universities (and the Common App, for that matter) during the next 36+ hours. Were I applying, I’d want to “click send” NOW, to eliminate potentials such as server overload, failures in digital communications systems, and constraints in processing. 1 January at 2359 is the deadline; however, what happens if – through no direct fault of your own, but due to issues similar to those cited above – your application arrives at 0530 on 2 January? </p>
