des anyone know the exact date and time the RD decisions will be released ?

The likely letter someone posted mentioned March 31st as the date, so that’s my guess. For ED, they e-mailed us a couple of days before decisions were released with an exact time and date.

Yes, march 31st. It says that on my likely letter

Columbia e-mails you the decision for RD? That’s odd, for ED you logged in and they had a copy of a letter that you had to view.

Wait, I got an email from Brown stating that decisions will be released on April 1st. I thought all ivies are supposed to release their decisions on the same day.

They are. And this is very confusing.

Princeton’s website states in one place that it will release decisions in late-March (i.e. the 31st) but turns around and says April 1 elsewhere. Hm.

Maybe it doesn’t matter when they release decisions? Maybe making multiple threads and stressing over it doesn’t change anything.

No, you’re right; it doesn’t really matter. Still, it’s nice to know.

Stanford sent out e-mail decisions for REA applicants, too. No website.

The likely letter says that packets will be mailed out on March 31. I don’t know for sure if that means that they’ll also send out the emails, though I don’t see why they wouldn’t.

But since the rest of the Ivy League is releasing its decisions on April 1, I’d like to imagine that Columbia will be too.

Well, they send the acceptances next day air, so they send 'em March 31st, they come in the mail April 1st.

got a mail -decisions out on april 1st 5pm est

“We plan to post all decisions on Thursday, April 1, 2010, after 5:00pm (Eastern Time).”
- from the email

Do you think it ever crossed their minds that maybe April Fools Day isn’t the best day to be telling us something this important?

Yeah I thought about that too… but hopefully most people won’t joke about something this serious. I don’t know about you but I would be incredibly ****ed off if someone did.

Do they send you mail no matter what or only accepted people?

They don’t send you mail unless you request it from them, in order to save paper. Everyone gets a decision letter that you can see online.
