Is there anybody knows when the notification will come out?

Word is Friday March 23. Late afternoon to be precise.:D

Yeah, in their shoes, I’d probably get the online info ready, queue up the emails, hit “send” and run for the door :-)

That’s about the size of it. ;)

Although last year, they were supposed to come out about 6 and we actually heard about 4:30 or so(all times EDT).

Oh my goodness I’m so excited! I had to struggle not to type this in caps! Good luck to everyone!

Now if we could just get everyone to chill a little on the “Chance Me” threads. You’re al,past there, don’t lose your nerve now.

I can’t wait anymore… Good luck, girls!

Are we positive decisions are available next Friday? Do you mind citing your source?

My source:speculation, based on past performances. :D

However, I am beginning to think it may be the 30th rather than the 23rd. That was my original thought back a few weeks ago, but several people on here said, no, it would be the 23rd.

But looking at the calendar and looking back at last year, the decisions came the Friday AFTER Spring break ended. This year’s Spring break is this coming week. So the Friday AFTER it ends would be the 30th. Also, there are five Fridays in this March, whereas last year there were just four. So it could well be the 30th.

If you aren’t confused now, you’ll never be. Also, Mt. Holyoke usually comes out with theirs a week ahead of Smith. Looks like theirs will come out next Friday since no one has heard anything today. So stay tuned.

Are transfer decisions released at the same time as RD?

Also, how does the online notification work - do they send an email with the actual results? Or one telling you to check bannerweb or something?

@Bossf51 That’s very logically reasoned, you’ve obviously put a lot of thought into this! I’m assuming they will notify us when decisions will be released about a week before by e-mail. I hope they come out some time this week though…

Someone in another thread stated that the early write letters said decisions would be mailed the 23 and available online that day as well.

A few weeks ago on tumblr, a future smithie posted her early write letter. I believe it said she would be getting her official acceptance package by March 23. I really hope they come out sooner than later!

Early letters said, and I quote, “We will be sending your formal letter of admission on March 23.” Which to me translates to acceptance letters will be mailed on the 23rd. But maybe you’ll find out online that day. Best of luck to all of you!!! :D

Holy moly, Friday is the 23! Wow, the end of March is near, good luck to everyone with Smith decisions and other college decisions!

Oh good! I have something to be excited/nervous about this week after all! Do financial aid packages arrive at the same time?

The decisions are on line. You get the FA in a letter. Sometimes as early as the next day but sometimes not for a few days after.

Any hint on transfer applicants or Ada applicants?? I thought it was the 27 th by mailed letter. Could it be the 23rd instead?? Also - when they mail a letter, do they place it on banner web too??

naturalista – the Ada decision process is very different from the regular first year process. You should really email or call the admissions office to find out when and how they plan to notify Adas.

My D received an email from Smith on March 20 reading: “Thank you for your application to Smith College. We will mail all admission decisions on Friday, March 23. If you would like to receive your decision electronically, you can log into BannerWeb, our online records
system, after 6:00 p.m. EST that day. Please follow these instructions
carefully:…”
