So... What is the day?

Any day now. Reed will notify you of your decision through e-mail; it doesn’t, however, give you advance notice for the same. So be ready to be surprised.

Does anyone know what the release dates have been over the last few cycles?

^ Yes, Bilguun. I was accepted last year. The acceptance e-mail was sent on 27th March.

Thanks! Has it been 27th on the cycles prior to that of the last year too?

Realize that, this year, the 27th is a Sunday, whereas last year it was a Friday. It seems unlikely that Reed would send decisions on a Sunday. If Reed, does in fact, try to get out their emails around that Friday, then I guess we can expect them the 25th. If they just try to shoot for a general date-range around the 27th, I’m thinking the 25th-31st.

It’s stupid to speculate without any knowledge of how Reed’s admissions office works. Just wait and see.

Yeah. Enjoy the surprise when it comes along. Don’t pull your hair out with nervousness. Besides, what fun would it be if you pegged it down to one particular day/date? Anyway, Bilguun, just for your satisfaction, I did check for Fall 2008 and it was indeed 27th March once again. However, unless, Reed has some special affinity with the date, it won’t reach you on a Saturday.

Ok, thanks to both of you!

Good Luck all of you prospective Reedies! Some of you will be my dormmates, classmates, even roommates perhaps and most importantly Reed mates. This could be awkward and exciting.

Oh Lord! Bilguun, have you applied here too? Why do our college lists overlap so cruelly? Though I doubt you’re even considering Reed…
I was hoping not too many super perfect applicants will apply to Reed :(

There are no super perfect applicants:)

Oh my god…Its so close to decision day…I’m so nervous, I want to go here really bad. Been checking my email every hour…arghhhh

@russia- Bilguun is AWESOME He’s got the craziest likelies and stuff…
Also, I doubt there will be a sudden ‘decision’. They should give at least an couple of hours as notice.

^There is no notice. They just send you an e-mail with your decision. Unless of course, someone reports on this forum saying they’ve received their decision and that could be treated as notice. Also, I too am surprised, with the amount of international applicants this year-super perfect or not. It’s sad Reed can’t afford more than twenty aided international students, but I hope you guys make it.

20? Please, not another rejection…

gary7, I don’t think there’s any point expecting a rejection based on those figues. Yes, only twenty or so international applicants are granted aid, but that’s no reason to anticipate a rejection. Just wait for decision time to reveal what’s in store for you. If you try and calculate your chances everywhere, chances are you’ll end up batty by the time this month ends.

^I tried to calculate the odds.
They were NOT encouraging…

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to ‘calculate’. Its just that 3 rejections made me feel a bit paranoid.
I guess all that’s gone away now…thanks to the impending doom of ISC Chem tomorrow :P

1 waitlist , 2 rejections. I feel the same way.

Hopefully Reed will be our first acceptance then :)
