RD Decisions Already Posted?

I just tried it...it says "User Unknown" :(

But maybe that's because no one's an RD "admitted student" yet.

Netshark, FYI, Harvard's thing was a big oops...here's what happened: on EA decision day, a cc poster on the Harvard board discovered that the admitted students page had been activated, although the emails were still in the process of being sent out. He came on cc to try and tell everyone they could essentially determine their decision in advance and the mod shut him down and locked the site. Those of us who read it in the 5 minutes between posting and being locked, tried it, and he was correct. It was ugly for a lot of kids to find out that way, so I am sure H fixed it for RD. I am 100% sure this is what happened with H because I tried it with 5 other applicants at a prep school. 4 of the 6 got sent to the site ("login successful")while the 2 rejectees got "user unknown". I think Davidrune watched that happen, as well...someobody from the Yale board, anyway. Think about it, though: as they approve kids, they don't just throw them in a pile or scribble some hand-written list; they are entered electronically SOMEWHERE in their system...so the idea that there "are no RD acceptees" yet isn't really the case.

Kane, where'd you get the "user unknown", HArvard or Yale???

WOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Washington Post, MArch 9th, HArvard B-school applicants hacked into admissions. Let's make it perfecctly clear here that we are not in any way interested in doing that!!! We were merely curious if we had stumbled upon some loophole and are hereby putting that curiosity to rest!!!

I also tried putting my pin and bday and it says one or the other is invalid. Anyone else have this prob?

dali you are probably typing all that info in the Creating your account page.

you need to type in your user id and the password you made here

btw what precisely does everyone get when they try to log into the admitted students page?

thx sucharita

i got in the first time and it said choose from the following:

manage acct
contact... unimportant stuff

then i tried again and now it gives the error message. :?

wow, these elites better keep their websites in shape

At Harvard.

sucharita, when I log onto the admitted students site, it flashes to a page that says, "login successful" then quickly diverts to the error message saying to come back on April Fools Day. The only thing that strikes me as odd is that I can get a successful login from an admitted students page. And it doesn't work every time. To anyone getting, "ivalid" or whatever, be sure you have created yourself an account based on the blue sheet they sent you, so you can actually check for real on April Fool's Eve.

I haven't ever gotten the invalid, just the sucessful login then wait till April 1st.

11 days left, hang in there guys!!!

Yeah, I always get the successful login, but on that page it says "Admissions Decision" rather than "Accepted Students".

True that, True that.
