RD Decisions? Has anyone else heard back?

I did not apply by the priority deadline, however I recieved a letter in the mail stating that i had been accepted Has this happened to anyone else? I submitted my application in January so I was shocked and pleasantly surprised. I am an alumni’s kid, not sure if this would effect anything.
Thanks!

Congrats!! sadly nothing for me :frowning:
I guess they really want you haha
Did you get an email too?

No. I applied RD but haven’t received anything. Maybe I am an international student, it is a bit slow?

i haven’t heard yet and i submitted at the very end of december :/

still nothing

I think we will find out next week…
the email that I got back in Feburary says that we can expect decision from mid-to late March

hopefully next week…the anticipation is killing me! :frowning:
(not that it matters, but i applied mid-September…)

They have expressly stated 3/20 is the date notifications are being transmitted.

where can I find that notification?

Dad55, Where did you hear that?
Also, doesn’t admission info come in the mail…3/20 is a Sunday so no mail.

Son applied Early decision. On the Brandeis web site it said applicants would be notified by December 15th. Brandeis mailed out the acceptance letters on December 15th.

About my prior posting - I have reviewed my notes; e-mails; the website, etc., and cannot find where I got that date (3/20) from (and I know - it is a Sunday, which I thought was weird too). Anyway, I RETRACT that date and sorry if I misled anyone.

Having said that, last year applicants started receiving RD notifications on 3/19 (which was a Monday) by FedEd, with e-mails to follow (I got this from this site). For those who have taken statistics, you know that it is unwise to predict the future based upon a single past event, but here you have it. Best of luck to all.

How does Brandeis send out the decisions?
I’m an international prospective, so will I get an e-mail decision or will I have to wait for 2 weeks (normal delivery time) for the letter to come by postal mail?

I asked about it and they said they will send an email and then send postal mail

Thanks nnryannnn :)

sending email thing is only for internatioal student as far as I know

Yeah, well. I’m glad they won’t leave us to the mercy of international air mail.

last year RD decisions started arriving in the mail fri 3/19…here’s to hoping they’ll come tomorrow or by this weekend! tomorrow’s the 18th. (wishful thinking, i know…but one can only hope!)

yes!! either tomorrow or saturday would be so coool!!

I spoke with an admissions counselor on Wednesday, who informed me that the intranational letters will go out on 3/18 and/or 3/21. No e-mails to those within the US. I did not ask about international applicants since it was not applicable to our situaiton.
