Has anyone called Tufts to find out if Tufts will be posting their decisions online, or mailing them out, earlier than April 1st? A lot of colleges have April 1st as the "official" notification date, but are in fact letting people know earlier. Thanks!

Oh.. to continue the question... perhaps someone here knows when last years decisons actually went out and whether they were posted online?

is it a bad sign if the financial aid office still hasn't notified me of some missing documents? (I just found out today from checking tams)....

so think its the same for international students the decisions must be on TAMS then. and same as djvu009 is that a bad sign?

So has anyone actually confirmed with the Tufts' Admissions Office when decisions will be posted THIS year?

I tried calling them this morning (about a different matter) and finally gave up on their automated phone system after 10 minutes without ever getting to a live person. They must be really, really busy. lol

i was hoping to hear back this week but i dont think thats going to happen :(

No worry about that...

The Fin Aid office usually contacts you after they know you got a shot and it takes a few days for them to finalize your fin aid issue...keep calm ;P

I think they pretty much have to let us know this week, because they can't release on Monday or after Monday...they have to release them before the Ivies. My guess is Friday. But that's just a guess. The 30th was a Friday last year, so I'm guessing it's Friday the 28th this year.

why do they have to release decisions before the ivies?

I don't get it either. The deadline is apr. 1...is just that, nothing else.

what's the link to TAM?

tams.admissions.tufts.edu

IMO they have to release them before the Ivies because most kids who apply to Tufts RD are also applying to a few Ivies. If they release them after the Ivies, then:

1) Kids who got accepted to the Ivies might not care and might not give their acceptance to Tufts the weight it deserves; they might just say, "Hey, I got it _____ University, I'm going there!"
2) Kids who got rejected from the Ivies might be too skulky to be excited about being accepted to Tufts.

This is, of course, just speculation, but think about it: do any top tier schools dare to release decisions after the Ivies? Duke, UNC, Northwestern, UVA, Wash U, MIT, Stanford, etc. have all either released their decisions already, or are releasing them on Friday. The only schools kids might hear from after Monday are the ones that still do things by snail mail (Georgetown and Notre Dame to name a few), and even those are mailing letters out on Friday.

IDK, my advice would just be to check TAMS on Friday evening...but, who knows!

I don't see why Tufts would feel compelled to release decisions earlier because of the Ivies. I'm sure the decisions will be released when they're ready, on or before 4/1.

They really can take all the time they need to decide that they like me!

i got this as a msg when i tried

"Bad Login,

JULIE!

Don't feel bad just try again."

um..what? my name is not julie, and i am not a girl

Luck, when you tried what?

The link is broken, but even if it was not it seems to be either a phishing site or some other scam. There is no way in hell a Tufts domain name could end up in "s"
