what's "s"?

try this link, it works

Class of 2012

then log in

on that website it says your username and password were sent with your decision letter. Maybe they've changed from the ones we can use on the TAMS site.

that has to be a phishing site... oh great i tried to log in to it

I don't see why anyone would go to the trouble of setting up a phishing site at "admissions.tufts.edu/2012"

Guys, you should change your tams password if you logged in to that site. Read this warning from Tufts that they have been the target of phishing. http://uit.tufts.edu/?pid=638 If you look closely, all the tufts websites start with http: and not https like the link appearing on the earlier post with the 2012 decision link.

I guess I overestimated humanity.

Last year they released it a day after ivies decisions. Someone found a way to login before hand and posted on CC. When you logged in, it said "congratulations class of 2010" instead of "class of 2011." That is how I found out for my daughter a day before the official decision came out. Hopefully they have tighten up their security this year.:)

how do you change your TAMS password?
+ I thought https just indicated a more secure connection..

OFFICIAL DECISION DATE AND TIME

MARCH 31st at 3 pm on TAMS

I called the admissions office

GOOD LUCK!!

After I posted about the phishing, I saw that the current TAMS site does use the secure server "s" protocol. I did not notice it before because I was looking at other Tufts sites.

So never mind, maybe the site posted by Luckmc11 is legit after all. Luckmc11 where did you find the link?

babyshambles to change your tams password you would have to contact the Tufts IT dept.

Yeah, I thought the same thing with regards to the link when I first clicked it.
On further examination, though, it does seem to be fake. It claims to be the "Admitted Students 2012 Website" with an incredibly generic banner and lacks colors/imagery found on the rest of the Tufts site (not even a Tufts logo...).
Also, it says "Your username and password appear in your decision letter and/or email and are case sensitive." They didn't mention this website in any email or letter that I received.

i'm not sure if you could have possibly did the same thing, but Tufts gave me two usernames and passwords one for TAMS and another for the online inquiry. To login into that Class of 2012 i used my inquiry password by mistake, which frankly i really could care less about. Maybe you guys did the same thing...it was the first username I saw since i registered about a month ago with it.

The link posted by LuckMC is not a phishing site, but the CC auto-parsing algorithm mangled it. Here it is in its full glory:
https://webcenter.studentservices.tufts.edu/admissions/cc/login.asp

It is just a re-direct from Class of 2012

By the way, can anyone log into that site? The regular TAMS password does not work, hopefully this is not a sign of rejection :D

i got it from that thread, first post

btw the banner said "admitted students 2011 website" and when i tried logging in before, it said not authorized, tho the banner said 2012 instead of 2011 when i tried before. now if you try with any login or any password, it will give you that "bad login" or w/e that is

if u go to admissions.tufts.edu/2011 ..u will get to the same place, same if u put 2010 instead of 2011

Aaah, that explains the mangled URL, you copy/pasted it from the thread, not from the address bar of the browser. Since vCode compresses long URLs, it got mangled.

The fact that it won't log my D is not particularly good news, unless they have not updated things yet. It will be great if people report whether it works for them: Class of 2012

hmm
the

No offense to Tufts, but the whole TAMS thing looks like it was designed and implemented by a 6th grader who learned a bit of HTML last week and is excited to show off his/her skills. The site is definitely authentic Tufts, I would not worry about phishing. Either you were rejected, or Tufts plugged the hole from last year

lol that's true though...
ah well
