<p>School counsellor advised against applying ED.</p>

<p>About 27.5 hours left...I'm worried, because I really like Tufts, but I procrastinated too much with all my college apps, and my optional essay is a modified part of my common app essay; I wanted to do the gorilla/guerrilla one, but didn't have time, and now I'm worried that that will disadvantage me.</p>

<p>I didn't do the optional essay and I was accepted EDII, so you definitely don't <em>have</em> to do it... that said, as long as it's a thoughtful piece (i.e. it's clear that you didn't do it just for the sake of doing it), I would imagine that it does show an extra effort (and I don't see how this would hurt you).</p>
