Just to give the waitlisted people some hope my best friend got in off the waitlist. I would start getting excited about your second choice school but don’t give up all hope.

i got an e-mail today from UNC saying they haven’t come to a decision yet and I won’t hear until next monday at the earliest. is this b/c i am oos?

Rejected. :(

Congrats to everyone accepted, can’t wait to see you next year :D!! To those denied, I know you don’t want to hear this, but there’s a better fit school out there for you :)

i click the admission link but it did not open…what can i do? i cant view my decision

Accepted.

OOS. Kind of pinching myself.

:-)

D got in … OOS!!!

Deferred in January, waitlisted today. This is ridiculous, I wish they would just make up their minds whether they want me or not. Limbo for this long is almost as bad as rejection. Oh, well. I guess I’ll just wait until April 1 and hope I get in somewhere I want to go. Funny story: when I went to talk to admissions about being deferred they said how awful it is when the defer and then waitlist someone, but that it does happen. lol, I’m just that lucky. ;)

As a side note, I’m trying to accept my waitlist slot, but I keep getting an error message? Is anyone else having this issue?

Well, congrats to all those accepted, anyway! I sound mad, but I’m happy for you. :)

eyeluvewe: it might not be coming up because you have a pop-up blocker enabled on your machine. that’s what happened to me, had to go hop on another computer because i couldn’t find the way to turn off the Google Chrome pop-up blocker.

actually i believe most people who got deferred got waitlisted too, from what i’ve hear…ugh the wait is so frustrating…anw the accepting or declining of a position in UNC only starts on mar19th, it says so in their faq for waitlisted students.

Boyfriend got deferred EA then waitlisted today. How frustrating! So he applied in October and won’t know until possibly June? 8-month turn-around, that sure is fun. Also, he’s the only one from his school who didn’t get in, and is at the top of the pack when it comes to stats. Meanwhile I am in my dorm at UNC considering walking over to Jackson Hall to set them straight (Lol not really…)

Once again, if anyone is seriously not even CONSIDERING going to Carolina (idk why you’d be on this thread but it’s possible), then please email them a letter letting them know you decline their offer. It is possible that it will completely change four years of someone’s life, and I think that’s worth the effort it takes to say, “No, thank you.”

son got in! oos

Got in instate =D, I dont know if i have to immediately accept the position though

Rejected OOS…not surprised, but still a bit disappointed, ya know? Best of luck to everyone rejected, and grats to those accepted.

One day you will all work for me anyways =D

@sAfuRos, you sound like my Asian friend who got into Dartmouth ED. We give him so much crap every time he wears his Dartmouth shirt (saying “big D-in-the-Mouth” never gets old), and all he says is that we’ll all work for him someday hahaha

I got the message that they couldn’t make the decision on Mar. 18th. On the 22nd I got in. I’m OOS. My twin sister also got in. Same major.
