To anyone who’s gotten in so far, is financial aid coming with these letters? I got in early so I’m trying to figure out when I’ll know about my aid…

Thanks, 4York. Sorry for your situation, also. This was not my son’s first choice, so it’s not too upsetting. He has great stats, but didn’t apply until the last minute, so never had an interview, and didn’t show the interest that he should have. Hope he has better luck next week with the other schools.

Good luck to everyone here.

I got an early write, and my full acceptance package came today, with the financial aid. It was in a big envelope. :)

I live two hours away from Swarthmore.

Someone from my school found out early this week he was accepted regular decision to Swarthmore - anyone know how this is possible? I know it wasn’t early because we was accepted ED2 to Middlebury, and is trying to get out of the agreement so he can go to Swarthmore…

@soccercrazy, he probably got an early write. it will be hard to get out of that ED2 agreement…

soccercrazzy-it’s not possible. RD was mailed on Thursday. He probably got an early write. But the issue is that as soon as he received his ED2 to Middlebury, he needed to withdraw his other applications unless there was a financial aid issue he was trying to resolve. He may find himself removed from both acceptance lists because of his attempt to “game” the system.

Yep. Gaming the system is super unethical. Bad news.

Waitlisted from Swarthmore!

I’m seeing a trend here

halfsie94, where do you live? Just trying to figure out when my letter might arrive:p

Anyone in New York (preferably Long Island) hear back yet? I’m at work now, but I’m hoping for my decision to be there when I get home

My son’s letter just arrived, we live in Westchester. He is away all day and I would never open it. But I see the letter contains a post card. Is that in all envelopes. This is killing me!!!

Son Accpeted! Letter arrived yesterday ¶

And it was a fat envelope - >8x 11 with folder and information
(no financial aid)

As i recall when older son was waitlisted, rejection letter had a postcard to send in if you wanted to remain on waitliest

good luck

Sorry for the delay.
I live in Queens, New York and I got the letter a couple hours ago.
So I guess Upstate New York/the city/Long Island kids are getting them today!

And yeah, the waitlist letter has a postcard to say whether you want to be kept on the waitlist or if you’ll be going somewhere else, and you have to send it back by April 16

okay, I guess I have my answer without even opening it. Oh well, Vassar comes on Tuesday!

I got a thin letter today and hence missed Swathy boat.
All the best for those entering class of 327 out of 6550.

Accepted! Letter arrived yesterday (Mexico), but FedEx couldn’t deliver it for some reason, so I picked it up today. I’m thrilled.

An envelope labelled “the fat one” just arrived at our house!

Just was rejected this morning, not too upset though! I know its a very selective school. Congrats to all that were accepted!

Waitlisted, meh.
