Guess I probably won’t find out until next week. Mail takes forever to get here… hope the FinAid comes with it.

Just got my acceptance letter!

Waitlisted…it’s all good - got in Williams as an early write

I got my acceptance letter today here in California!! It’s one of my top schools so I’m really happy! Good luck to everyone still waiting! :)

My mom got an acceptance today (at home), but it was just a letter. Despite mentioning multiple “enclosed” items, nothing was enclosed.

Did anyone else experience this? I’m very concerned about financial aid.

Congrats guys. I am in California and did not get anything today! Grr I will just wait till Monday.

Just got the mail in OR - nothing. I guess us West Coasters will have to wait until Monday!

Does anyone know how international are going to be notified about their decisions? Will snail mail be sent to all of them, or it happens to anly acceptees?
Btw, what kind of postal agency swrthmore uses to reach the applicant outsidethe US? Fedex, dhl, national post, etc.
Thank you in advance :)

Swarthmore: International applicants will be notified of their admissions decision
by postal mail and email.

NoBackdoor, I asked this, because some users here have already known their decisions. I wanted to find what would happen in the case of international applicant. College seems to release decisions in the fllowing monday I guess…

my daughter did not get accepted, she received her letter today,in southeastern MA. She smiled and said “yes, I didn’t get accepted!” She has chosen another school as her first choice but knows that Swarthmore is a wonderful opportunity, that their reputation is stellar and that she should not pass up the chance to go if offered. So, to all those who did get in, congrats, it seems like a fabulous place, the most beautiful campus we visited and an academic rep that will provide many opportunities.

waitlisted in CT right hurrrrr. meh, i was expecting rejection so this is nice!

any idea when internationals will be emailed ?

I’ve been away since Friday, so I’m super nervous to go home and check the mail. Thanks, guys, for all the insider tips haha. Congratulations to all of those people that have already heard and been accepted!!

@TiTaN666 and @azer1993, I’m from Mexico. My decision was mailed on March 22 through FedEx, and I got it yesterday. The only email I received from Swarthmore was to tell me that my address was apparently incorrect and that I should contact FedEx about it. (It wasn’t, FedEx just couldn’t find it for some bizarre reason so I had to go pick it up myself if I didn’t want to wait until Monday.)

ah so that means no email for us internationals…

Titan666, I saw a 2007 thread where some int’ls were talking about decision emails:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/swarthmore/830088-official-swarthmore-college-class-2014-rd-applicants-7.html

Instinctively I think they’ll do it. And then I found this that confirmed my instincts:

[Swarthmore College | Admissions | Apply to Swarthmore](<a href=“Apply to Swarthmore :: Admissions & Aid :: Swarthmore College”>Apply to Swarthmore :: Admissions & Aid :: Swarthmore College) ('International applicants will be notified of their admissions decision by postal mail and email. ')

So they do email us.
