So for those who don’t receive the letter today, I suspect it will come on Ivy Day. Perhaps there won’t be too much overlap but for those for whom there is, it is a rather tense and exciting time. We are in the midwest. No mail has come yet today so our child is still hopeful that it will make her here today…I am doubtful.

Received the acceptance email this morning (i am an international). Now I am waiting excitedly for the package. Best luck to all!

Waitlisted. I have so many more waitlist results than rejections and acceptances, making me feel like I’m on the borderline, that I’m “so close, but not really”

I got accepted!! =D I can’t believe it!! Haverford is one of my top choices!

@olexandra
I’m not sure about international students, but I was wondering the same thing about financial aid so I called Haverford. They told me financial aid offers should arrive within a week of your acceptance in the mail (this may be different for you since your international). They said to give them a call if I didn’t hear back by next Friday.

Anyone from SW Florida receive any news yet? I’m assuming since I haven’t gotten anything in the mail, it wasn’t priority mailing and I was rejected. :/

No mail from Haverford today here in Georgia - good, bad, or indifferent. I’d say give it another couple of days.

derfundoopleyhj - Quite the contrary. If you’re on the waitlist, you are as qualified as those who were accepted, you just didn’t meet whatever other criteria they had for diversifying their applicant pool (e.g. there were too many people of your sex and ethnicity coming from your state…).

Hang in there. You must be an excellent student to have gotten waitlisted at a top-tier LAC.

AHHHH ACCEPTED IN VT!!! This is so weird because I didn’t think I would get in, but they threw on a handwritten note saying they loved my passion for music. Did anyone else get that kind of comment??? This is actually stressful because I wasn’t expecting to get in and had my mind set on a different college that I also really like. This is VERY stressful now, and I’m not actually sure what to feel!

D was rejected - good news is that she wasn’t fazed, already has two or three great options. Best of luck to all!

Accepted!! @sirii - I got a handwritten note too. Btw, it was sent regular mail, not priority, so I expect rejections and acceptances should arrive at the same time.

Congratulations Tanboy! Mail came today with neither a fat envelope nor a skinny one, so it looks our son has to wait another day. Thanks for letting us know it wasn’t priority mail! That’s very encouraging.

S got his acceptance letter today here in Vermont. He’s very happy as it was one of his top 3 choices. It’s been a heck of a week and this news was very welcome as the other very selective schools had waitlisted or rejected him. Phew.
Accepted by Haverford, BU, St. Lawrence, RPI, UVM
Waitlisted by Bowdoin, Bates, Wesleyan
Rejected by Brown, Amherst

Nothing in the mail here in Georgia, yet again. No news is still good news…but aaaaarrrrggggh!

Hang in there!

I haven’t heard back yet either… I’m in Colorado. I don’t think I can take much more waiting.

Well I actually found out a few days ago (the 27th), but I also got accepted!
I love how they write a little note to each person! Mine mentioned that they liked the breadth of my curiosity and my passion for science. Literally all I did this weekend was surf the net looking for information on the colleges I was accepted to and talking to other people on the accepted students Facebook pages!
