I was deferred during EA, but does anyone know when they're going to roll again?

i think the ea defferal decisions come out with the regular decsisions, around april 1st. good luck to everyone!

hmmm does anyone know a specific date yet, because on the site it just says late march??? I am hoping that we find out soon...maybe before April 1st!?!?!?!

Last year my D was deferred EA and was accepted RD around March 28th. She found out on-line and received her letter around April 2nd. Good Luck to all.

Did your D go to VU? If so, does she enjoy it?

Yes, my D is currently a freshman at VU (home on spring break as I write this) and absolutely loves it. She is majoring in Chemistry and Bio-Chemistry and finds the academics very challenging. She has great friends and finds plenty of social activities to do on the weekends. She recently joined a sorority. If you have any questions, please ask!!

How would your D describe the balance between academics and having a life outside of school? Why did your D want to attend VU? How would she describe residence life?

My D decided to attend VU because it seemed to be a perfect fit for her. She feels that the students are similar enough to feel comfortable but diverse enough to share new experiences. The educational and academic background of the students is also very similar. In other words, everyone wants to get good grades and studying even on the weekends is acceptable.
There is plenty of fun to be had and its a great mix of social and academics. My D's residence life experience has not been great. She was placed in a forced triple due to the timing of our initial deposit. We have since learned that half the freshman class has been tripled due to the large number of acceptances. Given the fact that her housing situation is horrible but she still loves being at VU, can only mean that sophmore year will be even better.
Any more questions?? Please feel free to ask.

are the expenses plausible, or has it put a great strain on your family. I'm worried I might not be able to pay this much.

It is crazy expensive. No matter how much you think you've saved, it still amazes me that it cost so much. We do not qualify for any aid so it is a painful bill twice a year. Anytime you have to spend $45,000 every year, it is a strain on the family.

When was your D notified of her decision?

mocnoc26-- I'm not sure I understand your question. My D received her acceptance at the end of March. She received her housing assingment at the beginning of August. Did I answer your question?

Thanks for all your help... March 26 seems so far away!

is the 26th the actual day that decisions will go up? i leave on a school trip that day where i won't have access to phone or computer again until the 29th. it's going to suck to be away and STILL not know. i'll probably be thinking about it the entire time, ha.

On the letter VU sent to me, it said regular decisions would be posted the week of the 26th; however, last year the decisions were posted at 5 p.m. EST on the 25th. Hope this helps.

when you all talk about posted, im guessing you mean online.. is this an email? or you have to sign in on the site??

You sign into the NOVAIS website.

Is there a specific time that we sign into NOVAIS on the 26th?

If I remember correctly from last year, I think its after 5 PM

Thanks, do you know if that is eastern time?
