haha good to know caltech is a proud sponsor of sc :D
i'll certainly enjoy it if i go, but now that i look at the admitted stats, all the SATs were 2300+ and amazing accomplishments
sigh... chances plopped

It's not like the people who post here are a representative sample of the accepted students...

I just got an acceptance letter!!!!!!! My SAT isn't that great either (2240).

Where are you? And is it a USPS package?

Aznxboy, congrats. Could you tell us where your from?

I'm from Southern California, about an hour drive from CIT. It is a big envelope sent by priority mail.

Does priority mail arrive on Sundays?

no i don't think so

monday then.....

HI ALL

FED EX guy rang up just now. He asked me where I stay. I live in Al Ain which is like 120kms from Dubai(UAE) and so it will usually take a person 1hr to get here. However, since it is raining heavily here today, it might take him longer.

I am waiting anxiously for tht guy and am also studying for my math board exam. I hope that that guy gets here quickly. I hope the reply is positive and is not like what MIT told me yesterday. Anyways i'll be posting another reply in another 2 hours and I really hope its a happy one!!
KEEPIN MY FINGERS CROSSED

CHEERS ALL!!!

Good luck to everyone who's receiving envelopes within the next few days! I got mine today in a USPS envelope too, but I live rather close to the school.

anuishp- sounds like it is good news.. congratulations!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

That guy finally arrived, but the admission packet was from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. I was expecting it to be Caltech.

The bad news is that, it was sent on the same day as that of Caltech (15th March) which probably means that my rejection letter is gonna come soon by airmail(I hope this doesnt happen)

Has any international student received his/her admission packet yet???

looks like no body has received anything yet!!

All the packages and letters had to go through the Caltech mail system as well as the USPS. That usually ads at least one day to normal delivery times. So, if you haven't received anything yet, don't read anything into the seemingly long delivery time.

While the delay may seem agonizing for you, don't rail at the Caltech mail people. They are friendly and helpful, and just as nice as everyone else at Caltech.

Does anyone know if waitlist decisions are mailed via FedEx or Air mail?

Only acceptances are sent out via FedEx. Waitlists and denials are sent out in regular mail.

welcome to cc, btw :D

sigh
in that case i'll get my letter in april :(

"A copy of the letter sent to mailing addresses outside the United States will be emailed to the address provided on the application on Friday, March 23."

All internationals will hear by March 23rd at the latest even if they didn't get in.. So StuckatUofT is in canada i'm assuming, so you'll be emailed your decision on the 23rd
