Yeah I got my mail five minutes ago and no letter from Oberlin! (I live in IL btw.)
It should have been here if they mailed it on wed!

Rejected: business envelope, one page. :(

YIPPEEEEE accepted!!! god, i love oberlin so muchhhhh! just hope i can afford it, all they gave me was 7,000. oh wow oberlin and bard in the same day! it doesn’t get better than this!!!

Congratulations to all accepted students! Did any of international applicants get “admitted” email? I am talking about int’ls who didn’t get scholarships. I am an international applicant, and still haven’t gotten any notifications.

Rejected… Ohio wants nothing to do with me!

Admitted with $15,000 a year! Wooo! And same day, a letter from National Merit telling me I get $2,500! This is a good day for $$$.

Heard from seven of my colleges so far. Only one left. Probably my WIN streak will end with Brown, but I dunno if I even wanna go there if I get in, especially since Oberlin’s actually giving me MONEY…

StercusAccidit - I guess I’ll see you over at the Brown board during the next few days!

Why didn’t you come today, Oberlin?!?!

I might have a really exciting or really disappointing day tomorrow with Vassar and Oberlin…and maybe Swarthmore, but doubtful.

Accepted with 15,000 a year!!! I’m so excited!
I’ll be at the Brown board too ahha

This made my Wesleyan flat-out rejection feel a little bit better, I guess.

^^^

bananafish9: My D was also rejected today by Wesleyan, waitlisted at Lehigh, and accepted with a merit scholarship to Oberlin! Yes!!!

She also applied to Brown -like you- but if you can’t get into Wesleyan, how do you get into Brown? She’s not expecting good news.

Friend’s D was rejected from WES last year, is happily attending Brown. Go figure.

Accepted!
Regarding Wesleyan…I got wait-listed there. =P
And I still need to hear back from Brown ahaha.
We all seem to apply to similar schools, eh?

I got in with 12K per year
big envelope regular mail
boooyah

rejected Wesleyan ED - waitlist Oberlin! haha

Decision: Accepted!!! I can’t believe it!

i might have to turn down cal for this. im in utter shock.

^ Oberlin > Cal, easily.

ACCEPTED… in DC…international student … family contribution 10k
iam happy… cuz i have been getting rejection letter all day… even with the economcis downturn, Colgate is still devoted to funding for internationals
I am grateful

Got accepted today, surprise since I’m in California. (:

Still, not as excited as I wish I was. My parents already told me I had three fat envelopes, and none of the packages were that…great. And my Oberlin fin. aid wasn’t as generous as I had hoped for.

I think I’m coming to visit anyway. See if I like it enough to beg for more dough. :P

In

beyond excited

hell yes.

DS just got his acceptance letter today, along with a John F. Oberlin scholarship and amazing financial aid - wow! We are blown away! He is a little bit in shock over the great responses he’s had so far, but is also reserving judgment until he hears from the last few… He visited Oberlin and loved it – his only concern is if it’s too isolated, since he had been picturing college life in a city. Does anyone have any insights on this?
