i still haven't heard anything. uh oh.

DS got his acceptance letter several weeks ago -- financial aid package arrived yesterday, and it's great! Very generous on scholarships and grant, with a reasonable amount of work-study and very little in the way of loans. Looks like we could actually afford to send him. Go Mac!

I am international and I have not heard anything either :-(

I got my acceptance on Friday the 20th, and it said in the letter that the financial aid packet would be coming separately. :) I screamed when I opened it, thus scaring the kids who'd just gotten off the bus...

As for these "stat" things. My math was only average, but my ACT english and reading were 35 and 36 and my reading on the SAT was 730. I'd taken 3 ap tests (US hist, 4; spanish, 4; English lang and comp, 5).

Congrats if you got in, and congrats if you got in somewhere else. :)

I'm an international living in MO and haven't heard anything either. Do they mail international decisions separately? If so, does anyone know why?

where actually is MO?

MO is the postal abbreviation for Missouri.

So the assumption guys is?

Big envelope with that comforting yes = acceptance

small envelope= they dont want us / reject ???

I got waitlisted in a small envelope. It was kind of a thick small one, though, and I forgot Mac waitlists so I thought, "It's so mean that they're rejecting me with a thick small envelope with papers besides a letter inside."

i still haven't heard anything in Florida :(

I'd say we all have until next week monday (March 30) the latest to be informed based on the college board calendar

and according to Macalester...

hmmmm. does anybody know why they're sending them out over a long period of time?
i can't help but feel that I've been rejected, which is bad, because I both really like Mac, and because it was supposed to be one of my safer schools (by just a little bit).

im an international applying to mac and i can't imagine why they'd like to send decisions out to intl the latest...

Why do they send decisions out to international the latest?.....I really do not know. But I believe that since the international student body is a small percentage, they basically select the US application pool first as priority. And leave international pool selection for last (probably be less work and not so strenuous when compared to US applicants). This is my opinion anyways because I haven't seen any internationals accepted yet.

They have me worrying. :-)....and its not a good feeling.

I know, it definitely does seem weird, like we are second place choices....especially when Mac does emphasize its internationalism so much, it would be nice to be treated the same....but I guess we should be thankful that it considers us at all, so many of the schools in the USA won't even give us the opportunity

Thats really true. At least they give us a chance. Cheers to diversity!!!!!!!!

Why is Mac so cruel to internationals? I'm virtually living like a caveman, never getting out of my room. I check my e-mail again and again everry three minutes.

"I'm you". You are not alone. I basically do the same thing. Rush home from school every evening to check my email but not to find anything. I just hope the wait was worth it.

I check my email, my snail mail, my spam folder, the website (even though they don't post any kind of decision there.)
the wait is making me crazy
