RD decisions

does any know when RD decisions will start to come out?

anyone think they might come out this week? Thursday maybe? I think mine won’t be early as I was deferred EA and I read somewhere they are the latest decisions…

WPI’s blog states that the decisions will be out by the end of the month, finalized by Apr 1.

Groton, I saw that blog entry, thanks. Looking back at last year though, a blog entry from Sat March 21 said that decision letters were hitting the mail. Could mean this coming weekend…

Good luck, guys! :)

Decisions are in! Just got my acceptance in the mail!

Right, I heard that one boy in town got one in the mail today. expected, but did not come here.

Congrats, bostonbill! And Groton, I hope you get good news soon.

We learned yesterday that my son was waitlisted, A little surprising, but does not factor in heavily. He wants to study architecture and has been accepted at schools that have an architecture program. He considered WPI for the civil program. His stats were mid 600 SATs with a 3.4 GPA, with many ECs.

He received merit money from the other schools. Since he was not on the first round there might be little merit money if he is accepted off the waitlist. Figuring in the cost, WPI might not be the best decision.

This has really made me wonder the reality of WPI accepting a student who has applied RD when the school has 2 rounds of EA. He could have applied EA, but applied RD to all schools (old school method). Both his grandmother and I are alumni, with multiple degrees.

I got in plus the university award scholarship thing.
