My son got rejected today - Haverford was a reach for him and he has 9 other acceptances. Still, it stings! Good luck to all the other applicants. Decision received today in the mid-atlantic region by snail mail
Got acceptance packet in mail today. Central PA about 2 hours west of Philadelphia
Son rejected a bit of a surprise after getting accepted RD to Pomona, Bowdoin, Middlebury, Kenyon and Wash Univ. I think lack of geographic diversity was his downfall.(too close to school) and no Hooks. He showed dem interest by visiting and interviewing. A little surprised not even wt. listed.
congrats to those accepted! Haverford is a great school. For those wt listed or rejected remember the admission process doesn’t always make sense . LOVE THE SCHOOL(S) THAT LOVE YOU BACK!

Received acceptance packet today in Maryland! It came with a really lovely note from the dean of admissions. So very happy and proud of all who were accepted. To those who have been waitlisted or rejected- you all are amazing people who will succeed no matter what! Colleges would be lucky to have you.

LOL S got rejected to haverford but 2 hrs later got acceptance into Swarthmore. How do you get rejected to 1/3 of the consortium and still go to classes at the school you got rejected to.
I live on Northern CA and mine hasn’t come yet. My mail also comes so late every day so I probably won’t find out until tomorrow evening
I got rejected by Swarthmore today, so I’m praying that some good news come tomorrow. I live in Philly (20 minutes away) and didn’t get anything in the mail yet.
@ihcany seems to be some pattern on CC of some kids getting into swarthmore and not Haverford and visa versa. Wondering if the two schools communicate since they are a consortium to not have overlapping admissions. Probably wrong about this but just wondering as the rejection from Haverford and Acceptance to Swarthmore and other top LAC didnt make sense .
@momof2eagles I’m curious as well. I know people at Bryn Mawr who were rejected by Haverford, but as those schools are five minutes apart, they take classes at Haverford and vice versa. It is certainly bizarre.
Also congrats to your son being accepted by Swarthmore! The amount of rejections on the Swart thread is insane.
@momof2eagles: One difference is that Swarthmore no longer permits Haverford and BM students to complete their major through Swat. Don’t know whether Haverford and BM have “returned the favor.” Still waiting in Minnesota for our notice from Haverford.
