Did you apply ED and get deferred? If so then that’s why. The same thing happened to a whole bunch of other deferred students and me</p>

<p>This school was a total reach for me.From an Asian in NJ, I’m confused by the decision… It said there was no space for me, but it’s offering me guaranteed admission sophomore year (assuming grades are kept up,etc.) after completing freshman year abroad in France… Did I technically get rejected?! I’m just confused how to explain it to other people. </p>
<p>@letmein1 My daughter received the same message. No admission now to GW, but if she spends freshman year at the American University of Paris and maintains a 3.0 average with required courses, GW will allow her to automatically transfer to GWU sophomore year. If good enough to attend GW sophomore year, why is she not admitted for freshman year? Seems fishy.</p>
<p>You weren’t rejected. That would mean you were completely denied admission to the school. You were deferred ti Fall 2015 instead of Fall 2014. I think that’s the best way to put it. They want you to study in France?</p>
