I'm excited...but I'm considering other colleges...there's probably a 40% chance of me going there in the fall though...

Still nothing today in Northern NJ :(:(

This is so cruel. Why the heck do they send these letters out so spread out?!

SHS_Spartan...I'm a SHS Spartan too, but from Sparta High in NJ!!

Is the fact that I still haven't heard a bad sign?

what about the fact that i havnt heard and i live in rochester. the definitely did not send this last wave out yet if i have no received it. i would receive it the next day.

I'm getting very nervous. I was sure that I would get in because my sister got in two years back with worse stats than me and a $5000 scholarship. Two of my friends got in this week and I'm waiting with a few others on the letter.

My stats are as follows--

SAT M-800 W-700 R-650 (2150)
SATII M2-760 Chem-690

GPA-UW3.4 W4.3 (taken only honors and APs)

MANY MANY MANY Community service hours (work with 3 different special needs programs around town and run special olympics programs, 2 trips to Katrina stricken NOLA and town in SC to build houses for a week each.)
outstanding achievement in science 10th grade--award
Selected competitor for brain bee at Picower institute at MIT.

also an interesting catch story that I don't feel comfortable delving into.

With that said, I've felt like a shoe in. However, with all the horror waitlist stories--(some friends with equal stats waitlisted at BC, Brandeis and Babson. Including my own at WashU, which granted, is a good school)--I'm beginning to feel the possibility of waitlist (or rejection?).

Sorry for spilling my guts because I'm sure many people are going through the same situation, but I felt it necessary--as a form of catharsis maybe.

I hope the "last wave" isn't mostly waitlists/rejections....

Who still hasn't heard yet?

Feel free to add to the list below (I'm trying to get a general number):

Still Waiting List:

SHS_Spartan

Still Waiting List:

SHS_Spartan

My son is still waiting, too.

Starting a new thread for the still waiting list...

I just got my acceptance letter today, but no financial aid info - they said it would be sent later?

Add me to the waiting list.

waiting list:

i got my letter on friday-- im northern nj

the addmissions office said financial info comes 7-10 days after you hear back from them

Broke down and called admissions just now and they said it could still be coming as late as the end of this week. So, with that I'm certain my S did not get in. Well, we're moving on to the ones where he got in/got $$. It's healthier for all of us than this waiting.
