Did any of you guys interview with an alumnus?

i didnt interview, i didnt think it was a big deal tho

SHS - i did. it took 40 minutes.

So did I. Mine was a phone interview. It lasted about 40 minutes as well.

Wondering if it is a big deal. Could it make or break your application?

I think I found the answer here:

40 minutes via phone? man..

I got in, not sure if i'm going got to hear from some other schools first

1900 on SATs
610 W 720 Math 570 R

SAT IIs
Chem -650 Math 2 - 720

Ranked 11 out of 165

Had an interview at one of large hotel interview days the school had in my area. Mine was only about 20 min interview

good luck to every1 that hasnt heard

Yeah, via phone. He lived on the other side of the state, so it was hard to meet up at one single place.

Thanks collegeseeker. My stats are similar, except for the class rank.

My S got an acceptance letter this AM. No information on FA, though...I'm trying to figure out when that would come.

Where do you live Consolation? I wonder how long it takes to get to Massachusetts? Two days at the most?
I still haven't heard back from Rochester...:( And I thought my stats were pretty good for the school.

I called to inquire when the decisions would be mailed out. They said they would be mailing them out "between now and the end of the month." They also said decisions cannot be viewed online. I wonder why they send them out in "waves" but I guess they must have a reason.

Just a quick note to encourage those who have yet to receive news from UR - think positive. It is nerve wrecking to wait until the end of March, esp. when everyone else seemed to have been accepted already.

Last year our family was in the same position. My son's acceptance was in the last wave of mailing. He received a Rush Rhee scholarship. So being in the last wave doesn't mean rejection or no fin. aid or scholarships. Hang in there. Good luck.

Thanks so much, BandW. We haven't heard, another kid from our HS heard on the 10th, and my daughter's stats seem pretty right in there for Rochester...it is so nervewracking that they choose to do it this way and that they changed the "mid-March" date to "April" at the last minute...

Just got in. Yeah!!! Now I'm just waitin on Colby, Hamilton, and Colgate
