Does the decision come in email?

Accepted with a decent merit scholarship!

Waitlist…

@closetohome1 they’re available online already, but they’re supposed to email you

My D is accepted. Computer Science. 4.0UW, 4.56W, 2200 SAT, 34 ACT and 30,000 merit award.

I am wait listed… Congratulations to all who got in!
I am just curious is getting wait listed at CWRU a bad sign? I thought I was qualified with 2300 SAT1 800 in Chemistry, math 2c and World history. Also a 3.8 gpa out of 4.0…(I was accepted to washu).
I am waiting for other universities that are more competitive and this wait list is making me a lot worried about next week TT

@hotspurs
I can’t believe they waitlisted you with those stats. Are you from the Ohio area?

@2018dad nope I am an international student!

@hotspurs Case Western takes into account demonstrated interest. It might be the case that you didn’t show interest and they assumed that you would be going somewhere better.

@krrgn3 I actually even requested for an interview but unfortunately was not granted one due to my location.
Oh well I just hope that this isn’t a bad sign for other universities!

Decision: Accepted. Intl. Student. ACT: 29. SAT II Math and Physics 680 and 690 respectively. with $15k scholarship.

Decision: Accepted ,SAT: 2090 with 22K scholarship!
Congrats to all that have gotten in!

got in with a merit scholarship! going for Finance. are we notified separately if we applied for other scholarships such as leadership scholarship? or would it have been in the acceptance email

I was wait-listed with a 35 ACT, 800 M2 SAT II, 4.0 GPA, NMF, great extracurriculars, etc. I had planned on visiting over spring break but I guess not. I hope this isn’t a preview of next week’s decision letters… Congratulations to everyone who was accepted!

I don’t know about the application-based scholarships (I did apply to some as well), but for music, it was up in my portal.

Anyways, I’ve been accepted with a 22K scholarship!

@coldplayblue
Tufts syndrome? I see a lot of high-stat kids being waitlisted.

Hey! I got in :)

@2018dad
Maybe so. I had a friend with similar stats rejected at Sewanee last year, and they actually admitted that that was the reason. I honestly think it was a mistake, as I was strongly considering Case with the possibility of scholarship. Their loss.

Last year Case waitlisted some very high stats applicants- best guess is that many of those (not saying you) showed no interest in Case but applied as a safety, partly because there is no fee and no supplement- so possibly Case sees these as non-attendees over others that showed a real interest in attending. Just a thought- no one can really know…
