I have not spent as much time on here as many of the others who responded to your post(s). However, I read your story…I am also a cancer patient/survivor & had the same problem-all of the treatments, testing, and etc significantly lowered my grades & I worry that this will be the downfall. I just want you to know that you are not alone…feel free to pm me if you would like a fellow fighter who is also entering college in 09.

I wish you the best of luck & will hopefully hear from you.

More support for Madison. It’s a wonderful college in a great college town. While it doesn’t have the prestige of a certain athletic league, it is the #4 public in my book, closely behind Cal-UVa-UMich.

OTOH, if you want a Plan C…if you think you can crank up your ACT score with a good summer of prep (I went stalking), and you have an intended major that fits them, you probably would have a great chance at a transfer to Cornell-CALS. Attend the instate Uni for a year to save money (or Boulder since it’s less competitive then Madison) and reapply with, hopefully, plenty of A’s. But, of course, that’s a gamble bcos there is no guarantee. Just another thought.

swissmiss3, honestly, I think you deserve anything and everything.

The cancer cause is close to my heart, and I’m very active in it. I’m co-chairing the Relay for Life at my high school, and would love to make a luminaria bag for you, if you want to pm me your name/what you would want me to write on it.

Seriously, stay strong, your story is very inspirational. And I would gladly give up my spot if you were the one getting it. Good luck on your decision, I’m sure wherever you go, you’ll fit in and affect people in a positive way. =)

I haven’t gotten a letter back yet and I’m only three states away.

I’ll get rejected for sure… So given that no one who has posted their decision has been rejected, and given that I know I’ll get rejected and I haven’t heard back yet, it is correct to conclude that Wake Forest either sent rejection letters later, or sent acceptance letters priority mail as opposed to snail mail, or whatever it’s called.

So, basically, if you haven’t gotten a letter back, stop worrying about your decision: you’ve been rejected.

No, lllklll, not necessarily. The Postal Service had lost some decisions, trust me. My friend received a rejection the same day I received my acceptance. I just found out that my other friend just got her acceptance packet today. You can call to get your decision.

Letter finally arrived in today’s mail…rejected, I have a few good options…GT, Villanova, and Bucknell, good luck to all those who got in and I hope for the sake of next year’s students Wake clean’s up their notification process…this was not smooth, whether it was the fault of Wake or the post office…it all comes back to Wake.

HUGS swissmiss, bless you. Wherever you decide to go to college, it will be a brighter place for your being there. All the best to you.
