RD notification????

I think it's unfair that North Carolinans get that advantage. No offense. When I was there this summer, the admissions lady was talking about it while I was waiting for my interview.

Why can't they just do early action so it makes it fair. It's not like it's a public school.

I'm just tired of waiting, so I thought I'd just nag and be stupid about it.

Well, we only make up what, 25% of each class?

I'm not saying anything about the ratio. I am just saying that it's not fair that North Carolina students get to do something like an "early action" that is only limited to them.

Since I'm OOS I have to either apply ED or Regular, so my options are limited.

I am not expecting a different answer, but still just wondering if anyone has heard anything new about when decisions are coming out? Just hoping for a different answer:)

Hi, I called to see if it's too late for my son to send in additional info regarding a state-level award. They said if his file hasn't been closed yet they will include it, but it's hard to say. My impression was that they are wrapping up decisions in the coming week and decisions will come out starting late next week.

I'm from Ohio, and I got my letter on March 27, last year. I do know, however, of some people who live even closer to Wake than I do who heard later, so I guess things vary. The NC guys should start posting in the next couple weeks, which is an indication that the out of state decisions are in the mail. If I remember correctly, it was a plain, white, business-sized envelope with a letter, residence info, and only a few other things. Couldn't really tell, to be honest, what was inside of it when I got it! They do, however, seem to change the way they send things year-to-year, and hopefully you guys now will get something a bit more "exciting" than I did! (Not that the acceptance itself isn't important, of course, it's just that I do think they could be a bit more celebratory)

Best of luck to everyone still waiting, and congratulations to you who have already heard back.

in regards to complaints about NC residents being able to complete a non binding early application.. i think that this was a ploy to encourage NC residents to apply. i think they have trouble getting enough residents to apply since there are such fantastic public schools in our state. i know i couldn't have done ED because i can't commit to $50,000 a year but with the non binding i was given the opportunity for wake to atleast be an option, depending on financial aid of course.

Got this email from Admissions this morning:

Admissions decision letters will be mailed the last week in this month.

I'm SAD...Hoping it was going to be sooner!!

So that means NOT next week, but the week after?

Or is it next week, since it's the last full week of March?

I am guessing the week starting 3/23 - 3/27

So people may start hearing by next weekend....Duke is announcing online on March 26, so I guess most of the schools will be around the same date. Wow, the long wait will soon be over...hope it goes well for everyone!

Just remember we will all end up where we are suppose to be. The waiting is diffacult, but what's done is done.

I just got an email with my decision letter attached. I'm an international for what it's worth.

awwwww, you gotta tells us: Was it a "fat" e-mail?

yeah, I got in. So I'm pretty happy right now.

CONGRATS! (You are the first Wake RD acceptee on cc.)

Wow. I was definitely not aware of that. Good luck to everyone else, and even if you don't get in, I'm sure you'll end up somewhere great next year.

ACCEPTEDDDDD - international as well! wooo hoooo

I'm just curious. How do international applicants find out about non-Ivy U.S. schools? Like, I know Oxford and Cambridge in England... and that's it. But there seems to be so many international applicants who know so much about US schools. I feel so ignorant. =]

I'm American, I just live abroad.
