RD or ED? Chances?

I have a high upward trend, from a 3.57->3.72->3.82->3.83->4.0 from freshman year to the end of junior year. I realized I slacked off in my first semseter of freshman year so now my cumulative is an unfortune 3.76.
Everything in unweighted and I have taken honor, AP, IB diploma courses.
Do you think that I should ED into Brown University with a 3.76 or try hard for a 4.0 in my first semester senior year and RD with a 3.79. I know for sure this is my dream school.

My SAT Score is a 2210 ( Reading: 760 Math: 760 Writing 690)
Should I retake my SAT I for my writing and achieving an 800 for my math score? Is it worth the 2250+
My SAT scores II are Math II: 800 Chem: 780
And I have lots of ECS (3 internships, volunteer trips to several countries, robotics competitons), and leadership positions.
I am an Asian girl into engineering, not sure which in particular at the moment and I take the most rigorous courses at school. (The IB diploma with 4 HLs and two aps my sophomore year)
I live abroad internationally and attend a top international school in Asia, but am a US citizen.

Am I competitive enough and is ther any advice you can give me? Much would be appreciated.

bumppppppppp

Please don’t bump posts. Those of us on this forum who are actual Brown students choose not to “chance” people for a good reason - it’s useless. Most of the students who apply to Brown are perfectly qualified to attend; it’s all about the factors that exist in your application that we don’t see here, such as your essays and recommendations.

If Brown is your dream school like you say, show them that by applying ED.

^ Bruno14 is completely right. However, I’ll give you my two cents. You have a solid SAT score (don’t retake, there is really no point), great SAT 2s, and your GPA is perfectly fine. An upward trend will look good, and your freshman grades don’t have much weight (at least not compared to your Junior year grades, which are perfect, and your first semester senior year grades). Also, from what I understand, having APs AND IB also looks good, instead of having one or the other. If you really do love Brown, and if it really is your dream school, apply ED - you have nothing to lose.

Also, being international, yet an American citizen will help a lot - I think a Brown rep coined it as being a ‘domestic international’, so you’ll be thrown into a whole nother applicant pool. Also, could you maybe share what country in Asia you’re from (China, India, and Korea, I believe, have the most amount of applicants applying to Brown, so pray you’re not in one of those countries…)

However, like Bruno14 said, I’m not an admissions officer so I can’t give you an exact response. And with the admissions process being so random, Brown has become a reach for almost everyone. But don’t give up!
