Well, seeing as everyone else is posting stats:

Accepted:
SAT: 1390 (680M, 710V)
SAT IIs: 740 (BioM), 680 (Lit), 620 (Writing)
GPA: None sent
Rank: None sent
ECs: Very strong music (national level), strong technical theatre work
Essays: Not my best. Did include Vassar specific refs.
Recs: Standard understated British recs.
Interview: Interesting - interviewer was very interested in my theatre work, and we completely ignored my (far greater) achievements in music.

I'm an international student (England), and I applied for Financial Aid (which I assume I must have recieved, but no idea how much). God knows what happened with my SAT II Writing, but Vassar needed a work sample, which I assume cancelled it out. As I mentioned, I supplied no GPA or rank (my school sent a nice cover letter explaining), although Vassar did contact my school to find out my current A-Level module results, which weren't given (only predictions).

Currently, Vassar is my first choice...but then again, it's my only choice, seeing as it's the only one out of my six I've heard from.

i was waitlisted at vassar! i'm shocked because the coaches put me on their priority list, but actually really glad because now I'll probably choose between Haverford or additionally amherst/swat (if I get into those 2). If I werent waitlisted..I may have chosen vassar for the wrong reasons (not that the academics are necessarily better for my individual situation, but that i had more fun..that's about it haha)

Saysua, you are wrong to believe that you got in b/c your're a minority. Considering how much flack the SAT's and other standardized test have received lately, most colleges are looking for character and not test scores. The addition of the supplement to the common application is a clear indication of how much weight the essay(s) and personal statements carry in admission selections. Furthermore, a myriad of extra curricular activities and community service projects are for the most part meaningless if an applicant fails to address exactly why they engaged in such activities in their application.

Rejected. Probably my 27 ACT score. Congrats to everyone else! I'm not upset at all because I've already been accepted to some really great schools.

I got in! I'm wasn't expecting to receive the letter this early, considering I live in California. Now it's time for the difficult deciding process to commence...

Is anyone else here interested in majoring in neuroscience? I know that Vassar is good in the sciences, but I'm not sure how it compares with the neuroscience programs at other small liberal arts colleges in the country.

Accepted, making my acceptance 6 for 6 (just waiting to hear from the big dogs...ivies)

SAT: 1470
SAT II: 730IC, 740W, 700US
GPA: 3.78 unweighted

Maybe your area admissions officer hasn't emailed yet - mine was from the dean for my international area, rather than the admissions office as a whole.

actually, i am planning on majoring in neuroscience (on the premed path). I was accepted ED I to Vassar, by the way. I am also interested in knowing how this program is, so if anyone knows anything, I would appreciate any info!
